Paintless dent repair can't fix it. Estimate $850 for a body shop to repair.
She Who Shall Remain Nameless has it in for the TL-S.
PS: Took of the Dubs for the winter.

Happen to me tonight but a guy slammed on the brakes while me and him were half way through a yellow light iin the middle of a intersection cause he was afraid of the cops and i hit him in the ass! so now i have messed up bumper, hood, fender and the fender was pushed back to the driver door! i will have pics tomorrow as there wasn't any light at the body shop.

Mine is more of a minor irritation. I was *really* hoping it'd be a Paintless Dent Repair and a couple hundred bucks.
Getting warm.

I've been in your situation before. It's better to suck it up and pay for it without complaining. $850 is a small price to pay to keep the peace. Remember, if you make a big deal, it will get brought up and used against you even if it's 10 years down the road lol.

Aw, dude...i feel you, a clean looking TL at that! Just handle your business...ish happens...atleast it's not like other TL'ers here where they get into some crazy accident.
Hope your wife makes it up to you

Yeah, repaint the panel, blend to the door, 3-stage paint. Services down here are pretty pricey - you NY guys get car stuff done cheap; be happy.
You haven't been married long, have ya? A wife's point of veiw is "What's your's is mine and what's mine is mine."
It's here daily driver, so ....
Honest, I've been very nice and calm about it. Stuff happens; wasn't on purpose or anyhting. I'm just irritated (and whining on here) by the cost/difficulty/inconvenience of repair.
I have said a couple of times, "I think were going to have to get new wheels to get this fixed right."
Good guess. She our '02 TL-S; It's got a scuff I can't buff out, but no dent.

Take it to my friend Mark Mahoney's shop called Collission Specialities in Indian Trail. He does all of Acura's work for them and has for many years. I've personally had him work on every car I've ever owned for different stuff. He is super anal, a little pricey at times but does amazing work and is a straight shooter.
He knows what he is doing and is honest and trustworthy.

I dont think you have to blend the door. If you can then avoid doing it. The damage is far enough from the door. You dont wana lose the OEM 3 stage paint. Watch the body shop bro, they might say we have to blend. Then they dont do it just to pocket that cash. Believe me IM a insurance appraiser, I deal w/body shops alot.

Mark will tell you what needs to be done. Hendrick Acura has been using him forever because he can match the paint and 3 stage it just perfect. Just call him already.

Trevor is the man. He has all the local connections around here. I saw Bearcats dent in person last week and it is a nasty one. You seemed pretty relaxed about. Shit happens. It just sucks that it had to happen with not only one TL type-s you own but two. Now that sucks!

I'm going to be bringing my TLS to Trevor's boy at some point too, he definitely does good stuff. He took the side mouldings off of my boy's Tahoe and did some paint matching on his bowties and it looks really clean.

JP...I'm really sorry to see the damage. And you are definitely right about what a wife thinks !!!! Hey, maybe I'm lucky-my girlfriend is scared of my car and won't drive it.

BearCat, where did you get those black insert strips for the door's handles?
#39
ouch! That sucks...that is why I hate other people driving my car. I have threatened many times to take a sledgehammer to my husbands bike if he hurts my car!!
On a lighter note my brother has a Saab that he is not driving that is parked at my house. He came over the other night (in his gf's car) was backing up and actually backed right into his own car he said he didn't see it bc it was dark...

Black Pin Stripe. 1/8" IIRC. From any old auto parts store. Been there 18 months, no problem peeling, etc.
We had a moderator here do that to his own TL (IIRC).
This is nothing compared to what the kid did to the '02 a while back. ~$1800 damage from a post at a parking deck exit. Now I've got 2 that need body work.
