Question Can we get a straight light line?

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=5][COLOR=Navy]My wife is bugged by fact that the sharp line of light vs. dark of the Xenon headlights on the ground ahead of you is not even. That is, the line straight across is not straight, it has got a “notch” in it, the edge of the driver’s side light being a tad longer at the center than the beam of the passenger side headlight. I never even considered it, until she pointed it out. I asked the dealer’s service department manager about it and he said that it is “supposed that way.” I inferred that if the headlights are to be properly set, there will be a an uneven line across in front of the car.

Anyone know anything about this?

I think it is like that with all cars, well the left-hand drive ones here, the right side of the beam pattern will be higher and the left side will be slightly lower. I believe it is lower on the left to prevent oncoming traffic to get blinded and the higher right side is to light up the shoulder side more. I know my tl is like that but I have the 2001 so the pattern isn't as sharp as the 2004 with the projectors headlights. I hope this helped somewhat.

my 2000 accord has the same light pattern which is not equipped with HID. It is designed to be in that way to prevent from blinding oncoming traffic.
