Can this really work? Autopilot Road Navigator!!

Some of you may have seen or heard about this product. It is a handheld navigator that offers directional voice prompts and also can be used to search for destinations like gas stations, pizza, etc. For $40 could this thing really work? I find it hard to believe, but wanted to know if others had tried it or knew more about it.

This device isn't a GPS, so it will not give you real-time directions. It also cannot be upgraded so whatever limited information it has stored in it cannot be updated. I imagine this device probably has no more than 32MB of internal memory. My handheld GPS has 24MB and has tons of locations stored in it.

Since you've got a Navi why are you wondering about this device? Just a curiosity? You can get a cheap handheld GPS that is far more advanced... Though most will not talk to you. But at least if you get lost it'll know where you are!
