Question Camel Color Change

Hey, I am shopping for a TL with Camel interior. I looked at an early build and liked the Camel but I am hearing about the running change to make it look less orange. Does anyone have before and after pics for comparison? I want to see how big of a change Acura made.

I have the orginal Camel and EVERYBODY loves it! I do kwown that the Color shown at the acura.com website does not match the actual camel color, but that was since the begining. See my pictures.

Agree, the color in the acura.com is not exactly how it would look like while you see it in person. I don't know if there is any change on the CAMEL color, but my TL was purchased around Feb. 04, and I love the CAMEL color too.

The Camel color I feel is Acura's way of trying to tell BMW that it now has a true competitor now because the Camel color resembles the typical interior color of many high style vehicles and manufacturers.

Camel rules. No regrets about getting it. Only problem is stupid Acura techs dirty the hell out of it when you bring your car in for work. two thumbs down for that.

Talk about different storkes for different folks. I think the "original" camel, as I've seen it on my local dealer's demo car, is much too orange. Of course the good news is that it would probably hide puke real well if you're into drinking and driving.

I'm hopeful that there has been a running change to tone down the camel (to a more camel like color, sort of like mocha). I've not been able to see one of the new cars with camel, yet.

As far as the statement to BMW, the statement it tells me is that we want to be like you so bad we'll do whatever boneheaded move you do. Can't wait for the 2005 TL with i-drive.

I think the parchment is way lighter.

To light for my tastes. But that is me. Your mileage may very.

I don't have pictures, but I've done a before/after comparison and can 100% confirm that Acura made a running change to remove the citrus from the camel.

My car is a week old and has a noticibly more 'tan' headliner and dash trim than the months-old test car I drove. Put 'em both side by side in bright sunshine and moderate shade and the new interior lost the orange.
