Cam seals replacement, yes/no?
I plan on doing my 105k real soon. Car is currently@102k. I plan on keeping my TL for a long time. Should I replace cam seals even though they are not leaking.I have searched but didn't really find my answer. How much are they and what is the labor cost.
Thanks to all who answer.

If you cannot press them in straight, then leave them alone.
You need a shaft-type seal puller to get them out (or similar):

You can buy a seal press, or even rent them from some auto parts store. You can also make your own out of PVC, if you are so inclined. Sometimes, sockets and crank/main bolts work. You can damage the seal or the block/head if you don't put them in straight - these components are aluminum and not iron like you might be used to.
You need to remove the crank sensor - it is easy.
You can break loose the cam bolt in the same manner as the crank... except mine were WAY easier to get off not requiring the 300+ lbs of torque.
I replaced all of mine when I did the 105K. While it is evident that not many fail at 105K, I have no idea if they will last to 210K... show why risk it.

I too plan to do the 105K soon and will be replacing all of the seals. I'm somewhat going along with the 60/120K belt replacement of my 300zx which changes every oil seal on the front of the engine. I went with the pvc method! It has worked well for many belt changes!
