Caller ID
It also depends on the phone you are using. The Nokia's will not transmit any information to the HFL and all you will see is a blank MID when you get an incoming call. No signal meter, battery or phone numbers...

So, which phones will display all three items? I saw the other post on which phone people are using, but there didn't seem to be a general agreement on which was best. I'm picking up my TL next week and I'm hoping I can find a phone supported by AT&T that works well with the TL...

I lose signals on my SE616 just like I normally do. Has nothing to do with bluetooth. Just normal signal in my area. I signed up with T-Mobile cause unfortunately Verizon did not have a bluetooth phone. Out of the different phone services, T-mobile had the best service plan for my area - no extra roaming fees which AT&T would of cost me. Also, I got a good deal on my phone. Bought it through Amazon.com. Phone was $200 and get a $180 mail in rebate = $20
I just switched from Verizon to Cingular - in large part to get a Bluetooth phone. last month I got a SE 616 from Best Buy for free ($100 with $100 rebate). The best thing is that Cingular coverage has proven to be better than Verizon's in my area. So far the phone works great.

I'm thinking of this differently. Each individual company builds their own towers and stands over their major areas, then signs the deals to share their hardware/system with their partners.
I use T-Mobile, when going south/west, I would catch T-Mobile, AT&T or Cingular, it's quite normal.

Dmunjal-
What's your source on the AT&T use of Cingular towers? I've suspected this may be happening, as my AT&T signal has improved considerably over the last few weeks. I would think that there would be very little co-mingling of the two companies until final regulatory approval is received.
Thanks,
Paul

Dmunjal:
It's true - it's all over HowardForums, the AT&T forums, etc. Call 611 too -- but basically, you can roam all over Cingular's networks now for free, and if you have the National plan, you can roam on any network for free.
