Caliper Color?
First off this is all personal opinion so take mine for whats its worth. Yes red is too much! One, because its just a sedan that has your average run of the mill brakes that you absolutely DO NOT want to attract attention to. They don't look good and they aren't high performance brakes. If you had front Brembo's then red would maaaaybe be ok (not for me though), but the rears would still look goofy. So basically my point is, you do not want to attract attention to something that is not worth attracting attention to. I have seen people paint their rear drum brakes red on cheap cars....I see that and im like WTF are they thinking? lol
My best recommendation to you is the clean your caliper up real nicely and maybe paint it black just to keep things looking fresh and clean behind your wheels. Another option is to get the front/rear RDX caliper covers. It wont turn your fronts into fancier looking Brembo's, but they are nice looking and clean up the plain front calipers decently.
Hope this helps....car looks great BTW. I like a cleanly done and simple base TL with aspec and tint!!!

This is prefect. I actually had the same thoughts about the red, but needed validation haha. The girlfriend thinks I'm being ridiculous either way (my fault for asking her opinion on car stuff lol).
I've been researching the RDX caliper covers, but I have a hard time justifying $50 for covers that go over my brakes.. even if they do look as cool as they do. I'm thinking painting them black might be the way to go.
I appreciate the compliment! Clean and simple is exactly what I'm going for.. I'm all about the small details, so I feel like were on the same page.

I also agree that red is to much, i was in the same dilemma when i wanted to do mine, black is nice but i wanted a lil flash but nothing that would distract u, i went with a custom colour i had mixed its noticeable but doesn't draw ur attention to the calliper when looking at the car
I can relate on the color conflict though, I would like a little flash, but I know it's a fine line and I don't want to over do it.

If its stock do it in metallic black so it has the flakes. Doesn't stand out but you can do a quick check in the morning to see if you still have your brakes on.
In all seriousness though black with metallic flakes look really nice and sedated. Makes all the painted surfaces pop and anything behind your wheels look clean too. Especially when you clean your car up.
If its brembo's well there's a lot of choice.

I did mine in black as well. I also didn't want to spend 50+ dollars on covers and if it didn't look good and I had to buy the covers, the calipers would have already be painted black
Not everyone likes the Acura vinyl decals but I like them and I cleared over them so they should be good for a long time.

Yeah but thats why it's nice to see people keeping it real lol. When a TL has 6 piston caliper covers on it one does get curious. Then they're disappointed and walk off laughing. I'd say stay proud and rock the sliders. Its not like they're bad. Plus with good brake pads you will still have a great handling car that can stop on a dime.

No rant, its really the truth. The reason why a performance part is interesting is because usually it's rare. Aftermarket parts on a car speak volumes about what a person is trying to achieve with their build. The people that recognize it and look beyond flashy graphics are never going to be impressed with fake bullshit. More importantly its the technology that is interesting. You can build a fake roll cage with PVC but what the hell is the point? lol
You can wrap your hood in CF and some will be impressed but the fact is that if you're going to flaunt it at least have it be legitimate. The modding scene has become people scrounging to get the most fake parts on their car. Replica wheel, caliper covers or cheap calipers that flex when you press the brakes, cheap drilled rotors that can't take 1 stop on the freeway and more.
On the other hand if you save and spend on proper mods you get called a rich asshole lol. Sorry... End Rant
