california duster and microscratches!

i've used the california duster on 2 occassions on my NBP. After washing and waxing my car yesterday, I noticed a bunch of little itty bitty scratches that you can only see if you put your face millimeters away from the car. I'm worried that I permanently damaged my paint. My question is....... is my paint seriously damaged...or is there a way to repair this....hopefully the dealer put some type of clearcoat protectant? My car is only 2 months old. Someone please tell me there is a way to correct this!

California duster users beware!

Maybe you should post this in the Wash & Wax forum. I've never noticed it from my duster.

I also have a NPB car and have gotten the swirls from time to time. They are almost unavoidable. But, the good news is that they come out easily.

Go to the Wash & Wax forum to get the proper way to wash your car to avoid the scratches to begin with.

Waxes will fill those fine swirls in and they will disappear for as long as the wax lasts (about a month for conventional waxes).

Polishes will remove the swirls. The job is made easy with a PC (Porter Cable random orbital polisher).

There are a lot of good product of varrying stregth. Get the details on the Wash & Wax forum.
