ok so a friend of mine who has a 2002 Cadillac STS (not the newer STS's with 320 HP.....says his car would beat mine in a race...

what do u guys think...

these are some specs of the 02 STS

weight - 4100 lb's (700 more than the TL)
4.6 Liter northstar V8 engine
300HP

who would win... from a roll...dead stop...high speeds... etc..

i dont race.. i was just curious to see if we were to be on a track or what not...?

You could probably lose if you're an auto and stock. Not by much though. It'd be pretty even. Manual will give an ass whooping.

If it was auto vs auto it would be a great drivers race. Those cars are FWD with lots of power so as long as the STS can manage wheelspin off the line he might beat a auto stock TL by a fender if that. Both run similar times. The TL traps slightly more but the STS has better low-end/mid range.

My boy with an STS thought he'd slaughter me too. He said top end he would get me, little does he know...hehe

They are quick cars definitely, especially since they are so heavy. It really depends who gets the better launch (if you are auto). The 6MT TL should walk pretty easily.
