C-Class Sport vs. TL vs. G35, and the winner is...................

Currently own a C230 coupe. For months now I have been deciding on a new car. The c-class sport sedan's look and name is a big attraction to me. The G35 is where my loyalty is becuase the G20 was my first ever car and I loved it. And finally the TL, it has my type of looks on a car, inside and out, it nears perfection. Mercedes recently poor quality and the hole it will put in my wallet kinda took itself out of the race. I think the G35 is a bit overpriced and interior is a bit cheap.

TL is the winner, it will be my next car!

P.S. - I kinda feel bad jumping from NISSAN to HONDA. Never liked Honda, but this TL is something else.

I just jumped from a Maxima (5spd) to the TL (6spd). The difference is night and day. Good luck with yours.

I had a lot of loyalty to Infiniti, but I just switched from an I30 to my TL and I never looked back. But, if I did, it would be way down the street in my rearview mirror. I felt the same way about the G35's interior, but it may be exactly what Infiniti's target market wants (whomever their target market is).

Kevin:

Please be specific. What is the difference? Inquiring minds want to know.

Bottom line, if you don't spend 70k+ on a Benz, you get a pos. My friend has a CLK430, what a small, plastic, over rated pos. The sad part is I would take one . That damn Benz emblem, thats what you pay for.

you're right... the stinking emblem sells the cars...
maybe they will improve their quality once again in the future...

Amen. The differance in quality between the e class and c class is huge; whereas the BMW 5 and 3 series are both of similar quality. I never even looked at the C class during my comparison shopping, having test driven them a couple of years ago. I thought the cars were a joke and the Mercedes dealer actually came close to apologizing for them and suggesting I would be happier purchasing a used e class.

considering the 'quality' of european cars is now below that of american cars you'd have to be a moron to buy a benz or bmw just for the logo.

So the German cars ain't what they used to be.

And the American cars never were.

And even Japanese-branded quality seems to have dipped in recent years.

Have we seen the peak of automotive manufacturing quality come and go?
