Thank you brotha for the great detailed response was very helpful I have an 08 TL-type-s and I don’t when it was changed but it will be my first time doing it myself at 207,000 I change my transmission fluid every 6months and I usually take it to dealer but they have raised the price to 330 for transmission flush so it’s time to start doing it myself

 

Hey, this only applies to 04-06 TLs, the trans filter for the 07-08 is inside the housing and is essentially non-serviceable. Just stay up to date with your drain + fills and you'll be fine

If you have a 2010, it looks like no, the filter is internal. The canister style filter only applied to later year 4Gs
