Bye for now 3G TL!

traded in my beloved 07 TL for an 08 RDX Tech (wdp with ebony interior).

Key things I miss from the TL:
-bixenon headlights
-both sideview mirrors can go down in reverse
-open windows with fob / close windows with fob in key
-smooth ride
-wide stance
-LED tails
-pure sex a-spec 18" rims
-phone book directory within the navi unit
-smooth, quiet V6
-9L/100km average fuel economy
-touchscreen Navi

Things I dig with the RDX:
-The turbo is pretty fun
-cabin space is great
-HID beam cutoff is similar/same to TSX (sharp cutoff with bluish edges)
-sound system (tech has large 10"sub)
-mileage averaging 11.5L/100km..still decent for this sort of car.
-some upgrades coming: oem 19" acura rims, rear diffuser, front underside spoiler.
-haven't tried the SH-AWD in the snow yet.
-high res navi screen is nice..not a big fan of the 'dial' yet.

Overall, totally miss the TL for its comfort level but with a 3.5yr old daughter
it was difficult to manage with 2 sedans in the garage. needed a pocket sized CUV and this was the best choice while giving me similar comfort options to what i was used to. but i just dont understand why they wouldn't add basic stuff like the fob controlled windows OR both side-view mirrors going down when in reverse.

I figure i'll hang onto this for a couple of years and then consider the 4G TL 2012 edition down the road. Anyways, it was definitely fun...considering I had 3 3G TLs. (ASM, WDP, CGP).

3G TL > ALL DAY ERR DAY

Hope you like the RDX.

MDX>RDX -- THAT BACK

I feel like I'm dating my great, great grandma when I look at the back of the RDX. :X

Ok what exactly is the difference between those 2 headlights? I thought all Acuras came with same kind?

^Bi-xenon vs not bi-xenon? Bi-xenon means the low beams and high beams are xenon. The RDX doesn't have this. So only its low beams are xenon, and the high beams are halogen.

Congrats! One question though, should an 06 TL's Nav have a visual phonebook there on the screen? I can't find it. lol There's always the audible one but eh, that's a bit of a pain sometimes.

Congrats on the RDX. Nice little SUV. It will be nicer to hauling things since the TL only has the pass through hole in the center. I would also miss the touch screen navi. You can always upgrade your tails to LED. Have fun with it in the snow!!

Oh and I also miss the TLs "auto crank". I think I will own another 3G eventually in a few years.

For the record, here is the WDP RDX. Just waiting on some 19" RDX rims!

Nice Ride...drove one of these as a loaner a few months ago, fun to drive, drinks the fuel, sounds like a good fit for your situation at home. Enjoy

Auto Crank? Is this something you had put on or something that the TL will do already? I just got my 07 TL and NEED to know these things......

^Auto crank is when you just twist the key in the ignition and the car just cranks itself, so you don't need to hold in the "start" position. I love this feature.

Congrats on the RDX!
