Bye to Acura but not to Honda...!
Well, I wasn't planning to end my lease on my 04 TL till December and even then I was planning to get a manual TL-S. But hubby and I did some thinking...he sold the BMW 325xi I learned how to drive manual in and we decided my next car should be cheaper...and I wanted a Honda ....so I settled on an 07 Civic Si...! It will be our only car for awhile...
When she gets here I'll post pics...for now you can imagine the 07 Si coupe in Fiji Blue Pearl (hopefully!) with Navi (Acura spoiled me for this), the 17" HFP-R7 wheels, and foglights....maybe other things later once I get used to the car...
I'm sooo excited...this will be my first manual car. After I drove it for the first time I knew it was the car for me.... SOOO much easier to drive than the BMW...
I'll miss the TL, but looking forward to fun times in the Si
I'll still be around on the forums...they're still fun for me and when the AWD TL comes out it might be something to consider

Nice car and a good move at your age imho. Are you getting the sedan or coupe? Either way it should feel like a small rocket. All that fun and a lower price of entry = win/win.

oh will be a coupe don't care for the sedan rear-end so much...the coupe has nice lines IMHO...
just need to see if the dealer *can* find that Fiji Blue Pearl with Navi... is a hard color to come by...but it will be worth the wait if one can be located... second choice is Nighthawk Black Pearl (like the TL)...or wait for an 08...

Good choice. I saw a Fiji Blue Pearl SI with custom rims and that H something package at the Honda dealer when my moms car was being serviced. It made me want to learn stick and trade my TL in, but I could NEVER get rid of the TL...

Congrats on the new toy.
One huge adjustment coming from the TL will be the lack of power down low. In the Civic Si's engine, there really isn't anything below 4500 RPMs and you really have to drive it like you stole it, even in normal cruising driving.
I've found that it tends to be tiring, especially on long trips as opposed to the TL's more comfortable seats, quieter cabin, etc. In other words, the "sportiness" could get old sometimes.

I just got an 05 SSM TL-sport (6MT) no-nav, and my brother just purchased a 07 FBP Si coupe no-nav. I have to say that both cars a blast, and the 6MTs are great. The Si has a fun space-ship interior thats really comfy. The rear is small and I can't sit straight up in because my head hits the rear window (I'm 6'-1"). No biggie...
The only problem we've noticed on the Si are the crappy plastic sun-visors. So far the passengers side has split in half at the seam, and now it's permenently down. And I was just informed that the drivers side is on it's way out. Kinda lame for a car that's 3 months old. I keep nagging him, but my bro is so lazy he hasn't yet taken the car into the dealer. Hopefully Honda will have some sort of redesign on this part.

When you get the pics and are ready to post, take those and the discussion of the Honda Civic Si (a great little car) over to CAR TALK forum.
Feel free to come home to 3G if you want to talk about 3G Acura TL.
