Buzz Rattle From Rear

What is the answer, will acura fix it, I have this dam buzzing ratteling noise....

Anytime i go over a bump or anything, a lot of the time its just there when im driving, and its very annoying!!

Is this something that Acura is aware of, Is this a problem that a lot of TL's have?

I am in VA, and I just need to make my way to Acura and get it fixed already, any suggestions or advice?

Thanks

Where exactly is the noise coming from? Can you isolate the location of the rattle? I have a rattle coming from the rear that is from the sub. It is actually causing the rubber housing for the rear window brake light to rattle against the window.

yeah, I think it may be comming from the rear break light, but at the same time, if i kind of wack the back deck with my hand.. (not to hard) i hear a vibrating kind of bzzing noise.. so i am not sure which is causingit because the only time i hear it is when im driving, but its def comming from the back deck...

Mint....

the buzz from the rear, be it the sub-woofer, or the parcel shelf, is a known annoyance. There have been plenty of posts in this regard. You may find your answer in these previous postings.

I just had this fixed the dealer said it was the retaining clips that hold the rear deck in place were warped. Good luck, I know how annoying this can be.

I am happy to report that my dealer (Executive in North Haven, CT) fixed my sub rattle on the first try and made me very happy.

Do this on your own before your dealer butchers your car.

I had the same exact problem with mine. Turned out to be the middle seat's seat belt assembly. They put a ton of foam tape around the area in order to cushion the assembly, and this took care of that problem.

Thanks.

The Cerritos dealer in Southern California added felt pads to the upper third brake light assembly of my 2004 TL. I too thought the rattle was coming from the rear deck lid area. However, since the dealer did this fix, I have been completely satisfied of any rattles coming from the "rear deck lid" area of the car.

I believe they told me there were two clips involved.

Good luck!
