Buying in TX
Has anyone bought an '04 TL from Goodson recently? How are they to deal with -- professional folks, etc. Do they have a decent inventory? I have to fly to Dallas in the next few weeks and may talk with them before I go. Do you know their web site (if they have one)? Any feedback is appreciated.

Looked at Goodson and also the dealer on HWY 59 Southwest I believe,
After all said and done ended up buying from Brian Simpson over @ John Eagle..The whole deal was handled via phone and fax, no bs involved!!!..Everything has been a good experience over there from sales to service....

went to Goodson week ago Sat. They gave best online quote. The dealer's online inventory listed at least 3 navs
When I got there greeted and took test drive. Then I find out that the navs are already spoken for. They wanted to put me on a few week wait list for a nav?
Called the next lowest online quote dealer (Mac Churchill in Fortworth) - Had nav - straight deal - bought the car (forget the wait list). Even let me drive a MT that I had no intention of buying but just wanted to try (can't live in dfw traffic w/o AT)
overall good experience at the Mac Churchill dealer
price diffrence was less than $1000 as the quote from Goodson didn't include the destination charge

McDavid Acura in Austin was able to set me up. I worked directly with the sales managers... VERY positive experience. They were very attentive and courteous. I'd highly recommend them. They've got my Acura business from here on out.
WDP/Parch/6MT/Nav/HPT for $32400. YMMV.

Holy Cow!

Although the price is good.... I just learned McDavid will RIP YOU OFF on accessories!
All season mats are $129.... they want $189... it's the same with everything they have.
their reason...well, we have to buy from the parts dept. and then we have a markup-WTF?
are other dealers like this?

Funny, I bought my car from Steve back in January and have nothing but good things to say about him. Paid $33,695 (before ttl and accessories) on 1/21 for Anthracite/Ebony/5AT/NAVi.
As for accessories, if it doesn't involve electrical or adhesives buy your stuff from HandA Accessories online. Foor mats were around $100 delivered (no tax or shipping costs).
Yes, other dealers are like this. Make more money here. Make sure you take printouts from the above site and use this during your negotiation. If they realize that you will go elsewhere (taking all the profit away), most dealers will come close (so as to get some profit). Most accessories are marked up anywhere from 30-50%. Same goes for the extended warranties (look at Curry Acura online and get a quote).

I bought mine from Goodson in Feb. I dealt only with the online guy (don't remember his name but request a quote via acura.com and you will be contacted by all the dealers in DFW). At the time they offered me $2,000 off sticker on anything in the lost (various colors in auto w/out the nav). The best they would do on a TL w/ nav was $500 off sticker. I negotiated with Goodson and Mac Churchill in Ft Worth at the same time on the exact same TL (auto, NBP / parchment w/ nav). Goodson gave me $800 more on my trade-in so they got my business. As for service, they have been okay. They are very polite, have a clean shop (of course), always have a loaner, but the work they do is only okay. They have been unable to fix some of the rattles. McDavid has done a slightly better job at fixing things.
Good luck with your purchase!
