This one may have less miles...but from the pics, the interior looks to have been neglected. To me, the seats look terrible, the shifter is worn quite a bit, and the picture of the center stack isn't clear...but looks like it is all scuffed/scratched up. I don't even think the shifter knob in my '05 with 180k miles is worn that much.
Agreed, given the images of the interior, I am thinking to call shenanigans on the mileage; I mean, that much wear in only 66,000 miles? Yeah, NOT. Like your car, mine has roughly 170,000 on the clock and the interior is is significantly better condition.
I'm located in NC. I've seen two that are within a couple states, but neither sparked my immediate interest due to the poor exterior condition. I'm willing to accept one up to 100k miles; as I know these cars will last if they've been properly maintained.
If you’re willing to make the trip to MN, there’s an identical NBP type S 6MT in my town. Owner is a cool guy and happens to have a matching type S with his son. He’s planning on listing it in a week or so. Lot of stuff done to it to make an oem+ setup.

Yeah I just looked at it, no way that has 66k on it with that much interior wear.

This looks nice. If he does list it, just let me know and I'll take a look at it. Thanks for that
Alright, well I found one that seems to be in good shape exterior and interior wise. My only issue with it is it is a little high mileage wise; but I wanted a second opinion as I know there are 6MT owners here and I've already stated what my goals/intentions are for this vehicle. Thanks in advance.

Meh, 125,000 miles doesn't even remotely qualify as high mileage. Think about it this way, there are several members on this forum with well over 300,000 miles. These cars respond well to preventative and/or timely maintenance; treat that car well, and it will treat you well.
FWIW, I bought my 2006 TL 6MT three years ago with 114,000 miles on it, and yes, I have spent a fair amount of money on preventative maintenance (clutch, engine mounts, oil seals, brakes, tires...), but geez, with 170,000 miles on the clock now, my car drives better than any number of brand new cars I've driven when I travel.

Appears the vehicle already has a deposit on it, so will wait to see if the deal falls through or not.
Not surprised, that car looked to be a few thousand underpriced. Were I selling it I would have asked maybe $13,000 and then maybe negotiated down a bit.

When I was hunting for a 6MT Type-S, every time I found one, it was already in the process of being sold or sold.
When I found one that was just put on 3 hours prior, wasn’t yet inspected or cleaned and had a stock photo on the ad, I told them I would be there the next morning.
Drove 3 hours to the dealership and spent the night across the street to be first in line for that morning.(tried to sleep in the parking lot and a loudspeaker is old us to leave when wife and I crawled in the back of the MDX.
This is the time to buy a 6MT UA7. In a few years the only ones you will find will be dilapidated, derelict examples with high miles and rusted holes underneath.
I have similiar miles to that MRP at 127k with the 6MT/ebony interior that I have been considering listing to pursue some life stuff but it's eating me alive. This would be a car I wouldn't come across for a long time. If I had to let it go, I would list for $11,500 obo.

Unfortunately the deal went through. Not the worst thing as I do want something with a little lower mileage; not concerned about the maintenance or anything, I just plan on keeping the car for at least a decade so anything 100k or below is preferable. Still searching though, not in a huge rush as I know the right one will pop up with patience. I appreciate your guy's continued assistance.

This is a beautifully kept car by the way. I feel the same as the others though, if you feel as though you are on the fence I wouldn't make a move on it; especially not with a car like this. Would hate to see someone regret selling something they love.
Cars with under 100,000 miles come up from time to time, but beware, if they are a Type-S, are really clean, and have the 6MT, they typically sell for upwards of $15,000.
As for keeping your new car for another decade, not really an issue with these cars, even if you bought one with say, 150,000 miles on it, and even if you kept if for 10 more years and 200,000 additional miles, the car, if properly maintained, would still be good to go.

Yeah I've seen some with 60-70k on them for about that price. In a perfect world I'm aiming for about 90-100 even; give or take a few thousand.

Keep in mind, if you buy a car in that mileage range, a timing belt and water pump service will be due very shortly. That is one of the reasons why I was happy to find a car with 114,000 miles on it which had previously had the timing belt service performed.

Yeah I’m already aware, I planned on dumping cash into preventative or needed maintenance upon purchase anyhow. Will probably have everything done maintenance wise fairly quickly as I want to start modding the car within 6-8 months

Keep in mind, pretty much any "mod" to a Type-S 6MT will cause the car to plummet in value.
OP, thank you. Some opportunities are opening up so I’m trying my best to not sell it but we always can’t control everything. A stock car is always the best. Mine is stock under the hood which is what I wanted. But unfortunately the last owners son got a welder and did a resonator/muffler delete. The stock exhaust was locked up in storage and I got it on a weekend. It woke up the J35 and sometimes likes to pop in gear shifts or downshift/rev matching. It’s an amazing experience tbh. 90-100k is a touchy range as thousands of dollars in maintenance is due but the right seller would have that done at the dealer hopefully. If I showed you the maintenance on the CARFAX for mine, you’d be shocked haha.

It is a very pretty car indeed. I hope you are able to keep it because it sounds like you care for the car greatly. Yeah, I'm trying to buy from a dealership of some sort if I can for that reason. They are more likely to have all the service information. Will do private party if need be, but thankfully I'm already aware of what to look out for maintenance wise now so I'll be well prepared.
I will let you know ASAP when Eric lists his NBP for sale. He has a matching one like me with more maintenance and small oem+ bits done to it. I’m sure he will want it to go to an enthusiast. For me, If I end up selling, I will want the same as well in case I need to buy it back haha.

His looks wonderful as well. I didn't want another black car initially, but if his still has those yellow calipers it works wonderfully well. Yes please do let me know, it's greatly appreciated. If he's on here tell him he's free to message me or reach out for my contact info; I'd love to know more about the car.

Sounds good. He is on the forums so I will have him reach out. Unfortunately his is the one on the right. His son owns the left one with the yellow calipers. Nothing crazy to do but I agree, it constrats nicely. Black is honestly amazing with these cars. The only other colors I would get is KBP and MRP but those are pricey!!

Either way, both clean examples. I appreciate it! I agree, the contrast looks great. I do love black on these cars, only reason I was avoiding it initially is because the last 5 cars I've owned have been black but I wouldn't mind a NBP again. Yeah if I had a choice I'd either do the WDP or KBP, but those colors are few and far between; not to mention price.

If you do for whatever reason decide that you'd like to sell your 6MT, do let me know as well. After some additional research and your guy's input in regards to mileage, buying a little over 100k doesn't bother me as much as I'd have more peace of mind financially knowing all the servicing has been done. Also after doing some calculation of how many miles I average a year, I barely drive 10-12k so that also put things into perspective a little better lol

You’ll be the first to know when I decide to sell it. Might be very soon but I need to get a new battery as mine is getting weak. Going to stop in at Honda on Friday to grab a genuine one. If it helps, I never considered mileage at all when I was looking. J35 motors with the 6MT can literally go forever and I was more attentive to maintenance above all else.
