Buyer beware ijdmtoy

hello all
Im just sharing my not so happy experience with my ijdmtoy led drl harness and bulb kit. shipping was quick harness looks of decent quality, but the led bulbs were absolute garbage. One immediately started flickering only a couple of the leds not all, then two days later the other one began to flicker as well. Upon contacting the company they claimed the would gladly "warranty" the defective item but will by no means pay for the shipping of my brand new defective bulbs. grrrrrr

so sadly its was cheaper for me to just go through ebay and get china bulbs that still look and perform wonderfully to date! its a shame that an american business wont take care of their customers like china will.

i should've gone through one of acurazines reputable vendors
happy modding
and thankyou acurazine for the immense amount of ways to waste my money lol great knowledge base

Many members order from them, and believe it or not, even VLEDS doesn't pay shipping back.

Read the fine print, VLEDS has it posted on their site.

Sorry

not many companies pay for return shipping...they will exchange/warranty/stand by their product if your unhappy with what you received, but you usually have to pay for return shipping.

It seems a lot of companies are like this nowadays. They warranty the product without a problem but shipping is completely separate and not viewed by them as "refundable".

Personally, I don't like it because you end up paying shipping twice. But if they took it, they'd pay shipping 3 times...sucks either way.

I wasn't siding with them, I'm just try to help you as a buyer so you're aware that some companies don't always man up and pay for everything.

I agree, im just trying to save others some heartache in the same way the this forum has made my endeavors much easier. Wish i woulda searched about them more in deptht, i noticed after the fact im not the only one with that issue. i I've just personally never dealt with a company that didn't cover return shipping on defective items.

Not to say im not unhappy, but "unhappy" isn't the issue, its them shipping out DEFECTIVE products and not paying to have there garbage delivered back to them. my opinion anyways!

I think if it's defective, they should definitely pay for return shipping. Because that's in no way the buyers fault. But I guess it depends on the seller.

I would think they would at least cover the shipping if the item is DOA.

thats the only problem companies dont have a way of knowing if it was DOA or your broke it. They are usually tested from the manufacturing before, but some make it out there that do not work. If you went to ebay you stil would have to pay for shipping for exchanges , and don't get me started with china bulbs good luck with the one month wait

A defective product, within a reasonable timeframe should not cost the customer one extra dime. Yes it'll hurt them to pay shipping back but that's the cost doing business with a presumably cheaper manufacturer.

I've.had ebay members ship me new item to replace wrong/defective and nit even ask for original item back

I have used iJdmToy and Superbright for LEDs and both vendors ship products quickly and they are of good quality. Of coarse, there will be an occasional problem with a component from time to time. I will often buy more of what I need in case an item is bad to save time and trouble.

I agree in principal that the vendor should help reimburse shipping. In looking at many vendors, it appears that shipping is not always covered.

I also realize that when you buy things from China, the shipping often exceeds the cost of the item and can understand why a vendor won't cover that completely or even partially.

if you feel like you've been truly wronged, you can always try a chargeback.

Ijdmtoy is local to me so I go there in person to get my parts. I have the led drl harness and led too. Harness works perfect, but the led did start flickering after couple months. No problem though as they weren't that bright anyways and gave me a good excuse to upgrade lol

^^^At least you don't lose shipping! Are you out of warranty? If not, why not have them replace and sell em!
