Buy an New 07 Type-S or wait till 08 model?

I was in the dealer today looking to buy an 07 Type-S, but then the dealer told me the 08 TL's will be coming out during the end of July. Should I wait or go ahead and purchase an 07? BTW i was quoted at invoice for the Type-S ($35,800)

thanks

just wait to see if you like the new 08'. and since the 08' will be out, you might get a better deal on an 07'TL-S.

One thing to consider...Honda and Accura are running interest rate specials that will probably expire soon. Those rates may not be available for long.
But they also may have some 'known issue fixes' implemented in the '08 models. It's a tough call!

I don't think I've ever seen Honda/Acura release the next year model in July.

Acura never releases in July for the next model year. Buy what you're comfortable with. I just bought '07 TL Type-S and love it!

07 TL-S a good car...
if i am looking, i will wait till 08 comes out and if you don't like them,
Then negotiate for 07 TL-S.

good luck.

Either wait and try getting an 08 for invoice...OR get the 07 for 34xxx which is what dealer cost is (Invoice - holdback aka 35xxx-1000)

my opinion- at least wait for the 08 to come out. you might be able to swing a better deal on the 07.

You are already below invoice so it's not like the dealer has a lot more wiggle room. Maybe another couple thousand but they won't budge on that unless they just want to dump the car.

The '08 is suppose to be the same as the '07. You will never buy anything if you're always waiting for the next greatest thing.

I would wait for the 08 like I am doing right now, I am being offered 34500 to take a 07 from the lot, but I want to see the 08, hopefully they fixed some stuff that is bothering the 07 type s owners like rattling and pinging...

Wait until December...negotiate one hell of a deal on the 07 because the 08 will be coming out and it will be the end of the year sale!!!

If you're willing to wait for a few months, then at least take a look at the 08 TL-S before you decide on 07 or 08 model. But they are the same, so you will have to pay a bit more for the new ones comparing to get a discount for the 07 ones.

I was told the new body design will come out near the end of 09, which is a long time to wait for me, so I got a type-s earlier this year.

Wait until 08's come out.

When the 08's come out see if there is anything new that you really like over the 07. Otherwise get an 07. The left over 07's will be priced much lower then now.
I KNOW, I tradded in my 06 TL for an 07 TL-S in Dec 06 and got it in the @$$ big time. When I tradded in my 06 TL Nav, auto with 4,000 miles, mint in Dec 06 for my 07 TL-S auto, the dealer where I bought the 06 TL didn't want it! They were offering me $10k LESS then 4 months earlier. I found a dealer 45 minutes away that gave me $27.5 for the 06 TL, and sold me the 07 TL-S for $36k. I got taken for about $3k. I said go for it, I WANTED the 07 TL-S. Much better IMO then my 06 TL.

Can anyone confirm when the 08 TL's will be out? When should we see them at the dealer?

By the way, Acura's website says 1.9 financing ends 7/5/07
