well, went out last night with some friends. It ended up being a pretty fun night. After putting some exhaust on a 02 mustang GT 5 spd, we all started on the freeway to where the "kids" hang out...busted the mustang from a dead stop and a 20 roll...easy 1 car both ways...Supercharged F150 HD edition from a 55 roll was also at a loss. I think It was the first year for the S/C. 98 pontiac GP GTP at a 55 roll jumped me about 1/4 car length, but ended up at least one behind me...I wasn't paying attention to it after that long. So we got to the parking lot ate some food and went and did some mingling... long story short the police rolled in and we hit the freeways again....getting on the freeway a g35 coupe got a jump on me but he ended up a car behind and the last one was actually hanging...damn plymouth laser...quick little car but never passed me... I was however owned by a supra..but who couldnt see that coming?

My personal favorite was tonight after work...I lined up with a buddy's wife's 5.7GTO auto , spanked it twice from the line and once from a 20 roll....made me pretty proud to put down a 2 DR v8 with a 4 DR V6 ...

 

Hey man, props to you on all except the GTO. There is no way you beat that car from the line. 350 hp V8 > 280 hp V6...........

Well it was the weakest of the GTOs 5.7 auto...I'm sure it would be a different game w/ a 6.0 6spd...I just thought it was funny that he wanted to race me. just another car on the list

i mean he could have beaten that GTO...it was an auto....not much to driving an auto but hitting the gas.

my friend beat a modded GTO 6 spd and he has a 3.5 maxima 6spd modded......its just different on the street than the track

and yall friggin vtec just helps even more.....just like me beating a charger srt-8 with a 4spd auto.....its not impossible....

yeah...supposedly they run 13.3 @ 107 stock with the 5.7 auto and 0-60 4.8

 

That's with the 6.0 LS2 motor. The 5.7 autos are very low 14 second cars. Still way more car than a TL-S auto can handle though. I swear TLs, especially automatic TLs, are apparantly unbeatable.

 

No they are very beatable, But compared to what it can compete with I'm very impressed. I didn'nt buy the car to be a speed demon, I wanted the luxury, but the power is excellent too! The GTO i think has 350 horse w/ the 5.7 but i would say it has some weight on me, so with the mods that i have (he was stock) it really just came to the launch, untill the faster speed...

 

Those GTO's look pretty ugly!
