They got my number... I have had 5% tint on my NBP and i have had it on there for at least 4 months. I travel the through way every morning to get to work and last week it was really over cast. If there is no light coming in the front windshield you can't see in the car. Well i got pulled over three times that morning with in 10 miles. So the tint is coming off... Did any one else have a problem like this?

 

Tints that dark in NY is ridiculous, especially on the windshield...lol 30% is my limit

 

The windshield is the only thing that isn't tinted. An the legal tint limit is 70% in NY says State Trooper Ryan.

I think the tint that dark looked sweet on the NBP.
If i knew how to put the pic of my car on the thread i would through it up. The windows as dark as the car.

30% tint looks great on the NBP especially with Ebony interior.

The first one was in the U turn, the second one driving by on the other side hit the next U turn, the third one was 3rd U turn down from the last one and the last one was a U turn before my exit. Each one was almost 3 to 4 miles apart. An each one i had to show them that i just got pulled over for the same thing like 2 min. ago the first and third ones issued me a ticket the second and fourth ones told me to take it off.

Have you ever thought about trying to grasp the concept that perhaps when they pull over a car on a dark, empty road at 3 AM they'd like to be sure nobody is pointing a shotgun at them so that they can return home to their families alive and well?

 

Dark tints look GREAT!!

But YOU make the choice to put on a tint that is beyond legal. Once YOU make that choice,then YOU deal with the consequences - don't come bitching to us.

Yeah, I know, "NY tints law is 70% and that means no tint and it's a stupid, dumb ass law." But it's YOUR law; follow it, break it, change it or move; regardless YOU make YOUR choices and live with 'em.

ive been pulled over a few times in my old car cause of it, never ticketed though ..not once

if i got a ticket.... f* it. thats the risk i take for having 15%.. last car had 10%

Do you really believe the shit you write? The TL is not exactly a big bucks car especially an '04. There are a lot of full size pick-up trucks that cost more then a brand new Acura TL or TL-S.

Base pay for a 20 year old starting NYST while in training is $50,374 & $61,525 once he starts the job at 21 years of age.

First year increase is to $65,358. After 5 years on the job he gets up to $77,218.

A sergeant makes over $100,00 a year.

If I was a cop & with cops getting shot at on traffic stops I would be more then happy to bust your chops over tints dark enough that I could not see in the car.

There is just about no one that does not know tints at a certain level are illegal. If you get then anyway just STFU & pay the fine when you get bagged. Its the cost of doing business.

WOW... Some one must be off there med's... An if the "razor" was pulled out on me or if he made me take it off myself in front of him so be it. I put it on knowing how illegal it was an i knew it was just a matter of time before they did something about it. Do i want to take it off NO but i did. An if you read what i wrote I'm not really bitching about it just stating how i had it for 4 months and was surprised basically that i had lasted that long.
