bumpers ...wow!
bumpers ...wow!
Getting our white pearl tomorrow....and the bumpers don't match 100%! Already knew that ....but when I went grocery shopping today I noticed that we have a bumper mismatch epidemic! I am serious....if you take a good close look at most cars you will see a slight mismatch.....which is easier to see on lighter colours. I saw the new jag in light metallic blue.....way off! oldsmobile some hondas ....chrysler concord....etc...etc....so take a good look out there it really seems to be more the norm. I think we are just looking to closely! I know for some it is more than others so please no need to rebut....just trying to make the point that this is more normal than we sometimes hear on this forum!
I think that it is true that some variation may exist, but there are pleanty of cars out there where the bumpers match perfectly. It has/is/can be done correctly and isn't always. I think if you were to look at most cars, they match 100% the vast majority of the time...it may not always appear that way on initial glance due to lighting or the viewing angle, but it is true in my experience. No matter the additives in the paint used on plastic, a match can be achieved (llok at high end lux cars, you think a Maybach is going to have bumpers that dont match perfetly?). Even my friends cheapy IS300 is in a pearl and looks perfectly. I think that the car manufacturers and body shops are allowing themselves a margin of error when they mess up by blaming it on outside causes, when the reality is that they could spend a little more time/money and get it right.
