i just got a 2008 black TL and some driver hit my left rear bumper. Its just a little scratch off the paint but still. should i get a new bumper? what should i do?

 

a rear bumper only costs like 300 dollars or something so its up to you...oh yeah plus you have to get it painted about $250. anyway...i have a new type s with the aspec kit on the front. my car has 1000 miles on it. however i would like to swap out my front bumper to a regular tl...you wanna trade? mines in perfect condition so only if yours is too

 

How deep is the scratch? Try buffing it out and then repainting.

But if it's structurally sound and only cosmetically blemished, you would spend the $$$ to get a new one?

If it's only cosmetic, get it repainted. A new rear bumper, parts and labor, will run you around $600. (I speak from experience when I got rear-ended and had to have mine replaced.)

Alternatively, you could go to the dealer for touch-up paint if it's a really minor issue.

Bottom line....

 

Repaint or touch up- depending on how bad the scratch is.
