Build date supposed to be tomorrow...

My dealer told me my build date could be either Monday 4/19 or 4/26. Well last week he didn't have a VIN for me, so I'm going to assume that it'll be built tomorrow, 4/26. He said it takes 5 business days to build and then it'll ship, with 5/10 for a delivery date.

Can anyone confirm the 5 business day build time? I'm excited to get my new car... I just hope I'm not being told the wrong information.

My build window was 4/19-4/22 (either that or 4/17). Anyway, my car shipped the 23rd. So if your dealer isn't lying to you it should ship right after the build date.

My dealer told me May 6th, but I think its going to be a lot sooner seeing that people from the same dealership have told me just a week to get their car. I mean Ohio is only a 9 hour drive from here, how long can it take to get to the dealership on a train? I figure one day for the train, maybe 2 for some reason, and another for the truck. Then a few days for the dealer to prep it and add my exterior options.

Nice. Ohio is about 8 hours from me, so maybe the same idea will hold true.

We'll have to wait and see. I'm wicked excited

Mine was supposed to be built Apr 18-22 and my dealer said delivery on Apr 28. Now he is talking more about end of April/first week of May ... I got my VIN on the 21st.

If the build date is the 22nd, the TL will have the same B-day as my daughter

Mine is supposed to be built within the next 4 days...4/26 to 4/29 for mid May delivery. The next 3 weeks will seem like an eternity. I think the VINs are up to 44xxx by this point. Were 3/4 of the way through the 04 model year. Hopefully, they have sorted out most of the early production issues.

I got lucky that the dealer had already ordered the exact car I wanted and was set to start production the day I bought the car. Thats why it shipped so quickly.

Anyways, if I get it this weekend I won't be able to stop thinking about it, and is definitely going to screw my SAT scores up.

Patience, grasshopper :toothless ! You are extremely fortunate to have such a beautiful car at such a young age. Just keep in mind that you will enjoy your baby so much more if you did well on your SATs. It may ultimately allow you to get into the school of your choice with a better score. You will have plenty of time to savor your new ride once you are done with the exam. Either way, good luck with your SAT and your new TL.

Haha, yeah, I know, and I am extremely appreciative of it.

Anyway after the SAT I'm going out all night. No drinking and driving though

How long after your build date was it before you got the VIN #? I haven't heard anything yet, I'm wondering if I should've known by now, or if I should wait a couple of days.

Got a call from Acura of Boston today to confirm manufacture date spread and was informed she will call me no later than this weekend. It should be no later than a day or 2 after the actual build date since the VIN is needed by insurance companies and that will only help with a smoother delivery.

I called yesterday and he said he is expecting the truck to come in with it on it before the due date of 5/10. But he still have no VIN for me. I'm kinda worried, but I probably shouldn't be. I just don't want to be given a date and have them not commit to it.
