BSR in drivers door

yep, I'm sure without a doubt this has been brought up before . . . so please bear with me.

today, while driving heard a faint BSR. Pushed against the map holder or whatever you want to call it and it went away. Then pushed against the trim closer to the door handle and it went away, then pushed against the trim closer to the rear view mirror and the noise went away.

anyone have this problem and if so, could you clarify where? I hope it's the map holder since I'm not in any mood to have the dealer rip apart my door trim, damaging clips etc, to only end up with a bigger problem.

any help would be great

I have the same thing on my passenger side map holder. I put a piece of 3m sticky foam where you cant see it and no more noise.

I was thinking the same thing. If the rattle is not from the door pocket, and instead it comes from higher up (i.e. the window trim up top) this thread might help.

Good luck.

Yup I have this same problem with my driver side door at the same spot by the rearview mirror. It’s not the map holder but the door panel itself that is squeaking. I notice that if I have my window all the way up it will squeak but then if I barely crack the window it will stop. Now when I say crack I mean no air can get through the window but it is still up.

If you notice when you roll up your window all the way the door panel flexes outward. I believe when it is flexed out like that there are two peaces on the door panel that rub together. I know what two peaces they are too.
