who said anything about pink?? i think you should probably adjust the color on your monitor son..

rockstar143 03-12-2013 03:43 PM

who the fk said anything about pink brakes?
and either way. what part of this makes logical sense to you?
hey, what color should i paint my ish. get suggestions...and come back with, no, only doing this color or that one.

Why the fk did you ask in the first place then?

and better yet...why the fk ask a question on something so subjective as if you're looking for a factual response. Ok, Jah says that on WDP, one must have Gold. There.

this is what turns off the veterans of this website to bothering to come and help answer any questions with any sincerity. The young generation now wants to be jerked off and wiped up for them. nobody wants to make an effort. 15 years ago...there was no internet to do searches for fixes or ideas. You had to rely on neighborhood mechanics and chilton manuals and hopes and dreams. that was it. Now, the answers are all there! You must look. You must put forth effort. Another PM asking me what paint to use, or what color earrings look good with a black blouse? Really? Why did I make a DIY, why did I have an entire thread put together to help others.

People can only be helped if they want to be helped.

Sorry for the rant. I'm getting old.

Q_, here in Azine, if you want to make a joke or say something stupid, you put it in red text.

+76354 for Teal !!!

Undying Dreams 03-12-2013 03:48 PM

Wojo, probably the best thing to look at right now...

Teal is so overplayed right now though.

What about black...but with some cool lettering color.

anx1300c 03-12-2013 04:02 PM

He didn't start anything. He made a goofy post and OP jumped all over him for it. People need to lighten up. Life is short.

The gold actually looks good, but I'm in the "keep it black" camp since I don't think it looks right when attention is drawn to the fact our cars only have Brembos up front. Acura really cheaped out there; wouldn't have cost much more to use them out back as well. Then I'd probably do mine gold as well.

DaeHanMeenGuk 03-12-2013 04:24 PM

Could always get RDX brake covers for the rear. There was a pretty high demand for those a while back.

+1 I just picked these up today from my local dealership for $3.90 each in Canada. They look great.

EvilVirus 03-12-2013 07:45 PM

Sick how long you have you had them painted?Any primer or just paint? Any fade cracks etc.?
I ask is because I am about to do the same (front are peeling and the back are fking green) but some have told me to powder coat them but that will mean I will have to redo the seals (if possible). I think I am just going to go your route and paint them.

I painted them without primer. all i did was sand them down well and give the paint a good surface to stick to. 4 or 5 coats of color and then 3 or 4 coats of clear. looks great only problems i have is where i had chipped one of the corners taking the wheels on and off.

What the hell, you guys?

Splew basically made the same comment as Q Ship did-you didn't flame him. Hell, I even posted a comment that agreed with Splew.

And you KNEW Q Ship was kidding-he didn't know to post his comment in red for sarcasm because he's new here.

Quit piling on the new guy.......

Steven, while i respect your position here and I will listen to you, the problem wasnt the comment that he made, it was the fact that he couldnt take the razzing and started calling everyone douchebags, then to continue to create a thread calling us idiots and all kinds of other names, was when it started into this.

I could have made that comment to anyone else on this forum that has been here for a week, back and fourth once or twice and then we could be friends. If you ask me, hes asked for it by acting the way he did and continually acts.

With that said, :salute:

Thanks Undying, ive browsed many of the brembo colour threads the past 2 days. Ive seen some crazy good and awful colours and just wanted to see what I could possible do a little different. Everyone has helped me picture the other colours they mentioned on the car and gold just does it for me. I found the paint code for the bronzish gold metallic on the gtr brembos, so that will be my route!. Stay tuned for pics in a few weeks and also gold lugs will be coming in soon.

Thanks for all the replies and help from everyone :)

Try not to take things personally when someone says something you don't necessarily like. It happens all the time. Stick around, you'll actually meet some nice and knowledgeable people here!

Girls, girls...You're both just...awful.

Otherwise, I vote red or gold.

justnspace 03-13-2013 03:26 PM

Steven Bell must be proud of me.

LockDots 03-13-2013 05:57 PM

Unless the car already has some sort of color to match with like Teal on a member's ride here I think it's best to go with Black or Silver. White would get covered in brake dust in no time, Red is just ok, any other 'bright' or 'unconventional/radical' color is a bit too attention grabbing if it doesn't match or fit the rest of the theme the car may have.

Unless that's your aim of focus of course. Bronze would look ok if there were other bronze accents or trim on the car.

Nice.....there's my laugh for the week!

MandoTL 03-14-2013 09:14 PM

^^ Damnit beat me to it.

Just stick with black or go with a lighter or darker teal shade.

wojo1988 03-21-2013 11:01 PM

So I plan to keep my promise this time. Just finished painting all 4 calipers in the bronze metallic and WOW. I applied the brembo stickers an hour ago and am adding a few more layers of clear and then ill be reinstalling again!! Stayed tuned for pics in a few mins! The clear makes this colour pop and is absolutely sexy. While waiting between coats (yes i did completely take the calipers off the car) I painted the new drilled and slotted rotor hubs and end with a gloss black high temp paint. Almost ready for summer time! Rims will be insalled soon again and roof spoiler when warmer and then she is summer worthy

They look nice. But did you change your mind on the color? That obviously isn't the burnt orange from the GTR Brembos.

crbnfbr 03-22-2013 12:20 AM

Those calipers look badass in that color. I think that's the best color for WDP and KBP, but it wouldn't look good on my SSM. I was thinking silver for my calipers. Possibly even blue, but that might pop a bit too much.

Ohh it is :) Just need the light to hit it. Heres another teaser until I get the rears finished to and all buttoned up with summer rims on soon

Thanks, it should look amazing when all done. For SSM I would go with candy blue or candy purple!!

rossv1 03-22-2013 08:21 AM

Wow. I didn't know they changed colors that much. They went from gold in the first pic to orange on the car.

Undying Dreams 03-22-2013 08:27 AM

lol

The flash bounced off the white car and made it bright and everything else darker.

zachlone 03-22-2013 09:50 AM

love the color! sexy!

Steven Bell 03-22-2013 11:07 AM

That gold DOES look nice!

USNA93 03-22-2013 01:04 PM

Is there a specific brand of clear coat recommended? My original Brembo calipers are peeling. I read about Duplicolor but then saw a bunch of bad reviews. Spending $300+ per caliper on what's just a cosmetic issue is not in the cards...hoping there's a cheaper way using a good can of clear coat and maybe some more black paint.

wojo1988 03-22-2013 02:44 PM

I ordered all of my paint from automotivetouchup

AccordFlex 03-22-2013 02:47 PM

I love the Nissan copper brembos. Thats what ill be doing mine in.

Frosty The Snowman 03-22-2013 09:41 PM

OP What did you paint your roof with? It looks amazing and I also have a WDP and want to do this.

Nyordrms 03-23-2013 05:11 PM

looks great, doin mine that same colour, what size are the brembo stickers u put on??
