I have a quick question for those with Manuals.

1. Does 07 manual still come with Brembo calipers?
2. With 04-06 MT's, does it only come with Brembo in the front? or is it both? does AT and MT use same caliper for the rear?
3. Did they change the brembos on the Type-s or is it the same one from the 06 mt?

1) 2007 6sp is ONLY available in TL-S. No base TL in 6 sp.
2) 04-07 has Brembo up front only, they share the same "stock" rear
3) Same Brembo calipers 04-07

 

why would they have different part number though?
i show Automatic with 45019-sep-a00 for auto, a50 for manual..

 

No idea, but they're functionally the same caliper. Probably some subtle mounting difference.

 

Auto should not have Brembo's unless it's a 2007 Type S Auto

2007 Type-S auto and 2007 Type S manua have different caliper PN's. He wants to know what's different.

as long as you get the brembo calipers.. what's the worries.

and the rear wheels have no brembo. They all have the ability to stop the car. hehe

Got to www.acuraoemparts.com and compare PN's between the various 2004-2007 model years. If the PN's match year after year, then they obviously are the same.

Perhaps if you posted what you were trying to accomplish we could help you more...

Yes, we know that.
2004-2006 only the 6MT got Brembo.

In 2007 ONLY the TL-S (auto and 6MT) get Brembo. You can only get 2007 6MT in the TL-S trimline.

 

Haha...I actually didn't know that, my salesman actually said that they weren't but he probably was still thinking it was the same as 06 (only for manual).

It is amazing that someone on an enthusiast board would not know.

 

I should be ashamed of myself, I know ...I always knew that they put Brembo's on the 6MT when they didnt have the S for the 3G...so I asked my salesman if the auto S came with brembos and he said they didnt...thats why I assumed they still only did it on 6MT S's haha

 

Problem one, is you asked the salesman a question about the product he is selling. Most car salesman no nothing about the products they are selling.
