With that said, I know the G35ers have complained over in their forums about the Brembo brakes wearing quite fast (some in less than 10K miles).
I think this is the trade-off though for great stopping power - the pads will wear quicker.

I ever heard about the wasteful and costly Brembo for G, so Infiniti kind of reduce the price for their first replacement, right?
Anyone knows? Thank You.

I sure hope the TL 6MT doesn't have the same brake issue...

Doesn't seem right to me.

And why would you need to replace the rotors at all? You can't cut them?

I've changed my front and rear pads on my 2001 Saab and not changed rotors and my car still brakes well - like the first day I drove it off the lot.

I don't think having Brembo calipers and rotors will affect pad life in a vacuum. It has more to do with the pad and rotor hardness and composition. I understand that the brake systems on the G35C, 350Z, Evo & STi have exhibited very short pad life.
It's a lot like tires; if you want great grip, you have to give up some mileage.
My wife's 99 Accord had such weak brakes, we ended up putting EBC pads and rotors on. She runs through pads about every 15K miles, but for her, it's worth it. The stock pad had half their material after 30K miles.
I can't wait to find out about the pad life on my 6MT TL, I drop-off my deposit on Saturday!
Cheers,
Don

I have to admit that if in fact I have to replace brakes (pads and/or rotors) every 15k miles this might not be the right car for me.
In the past I've gotten 80k+ miles on on a set of pads on my 5MT AWD Turbo Talon. Some of those miles were spent at the autocross and I certainly didn't baby it the rest of the time.
So you're telling me that I can only expect <20% of the brake life of my Talon? These brakes are 5x better than regular pads? Seems hard for me to believe.
Part of the reason I've owned Acuras in the past was because of their generally low cost of ownership compared to the German competition. Brakes are only a couple hundred bucks but pad & rotors for this thing will cost a fortune!

Everyone need to remember that a lot will have to do with the type of driving you do. Highway/City/Stop and Go, etc... Do you ease your brakes on or do you tend to have to peel yourself off the windshield at every stop sign and traffic light? Do you enter on ramps and off ramps above posted speeds? You get the idea.

Anyone out there driven A-spec and regular 6MT? How does suspension feel compare to 6MT?

Wait for a second.
A-Spec for 5AT doesn't come with Brembo, which is very unique setup for 6MT.
A-Spec for 5AT is only having high performance pads for 4 brakes. You will see the red-edge pads installed in each brakes. The brakes are still the original ones... silver ones and smaller than Brembo...
Please check it again.

TL-SHAWD 6MT Rocks!
Brembo brakes produce more dust than the 5AT.
My rear brake caliper is turning green (is it normal?)
7680 miles - mostly highway.
The Midas shop told me that the ceramic pads would produce less dust and withstand higher temperatures... but I don't know if they have it for this new TL yet.
& rotors can be machined (re-surfaced) if they have imperfections or wear patterns.
