hello. im buying an 04 tl in the next 6 months, maybe even on 05. and im pretty sure i dont want a 6 speed due to the traffic in ft.lauderdale florida. anyway, the main reason i would want one is for the brakes. does anyone know how much it would cost to buy the brembo brakes that come on the MT either from acura or an aftermarket company? and at this point, are there any other companies that make aftermarket brakes that might even somehow be better than the stock brembo?

someone was selling the 6MT brembos on ebay starting bid was 1K but there was a reserve. i would figure the price would be around 1300ish give or take. someone once asked a dealer if it was possible to install the acura ones in a 5AT and they said no because of some clearance issues somewhere(forgot exactly what). you can wait a little bit and try aftermarket upgrade. there will be brembo, stoptech, etc kits available with larger rotors and maybe even more pistons. the acura brembos are 12.2" rotors, you can probably get a larger 13" or a little larger rotor from aftermarket kit. the car is new so you will just have to wait for more products to come out for it.
