Centric rotors all-around. Wagner ThermoQuiet QC536 rear brake pads; whatever pads the car came with in the front - haven't had to replace them yet. This is for spirited daily driving.
Get OE or you can get Brembo's for the front rotors and rear rotors. Centric makes stoptech which are also good if you want to go the slotted route with thermo posiquiet pads to match. Also Advics and Nissin and Akebono make the OE pads or Acura and Honda too. So any of those will be good as well.
Just go with a good rotor and good pad. It will get you further then going the cheap route.
Racing Brake rotors ( don't get slotted rears as they EAT THROUGH PADS) and A-Spec brake pads.
I've gone through 3 sets of rear pads and 2 sets of front pads in over 100K miles with the same rotors. They will are way within spec and barely worn in. No worrying about warping with the racing brake rotors either! Loved them so much I got a set for my MDX and soon for the other cars when they need new rotors.
We highly recommend our Centric/Stoptech brake packages that include Powerstop rotors and Street Performance pads for all four corners. We've seen a lot of positive feedback over the years on these, and we offer them for both the base TL and Brembo set ups.
I recommend Centric's High-Carbon rotors (upgraded alloy). Same rotors as Stoptech without the slots for a LOT less money. Uses a better alloy than Centric's Premium line. There are lots of sellers of Centric parts, and most have free shipping and coupons. I suggest you get your part numbers from CentricParts.com and search google.
I use Stoptech pads for high performance, and OEM pads for standard application. Keep in mind high performance pads will dust and make more noise than OEM.

Not if you use ceramic pads. The Akebono pads I'm using don't show any noticeable dust and are perfectly quiet (Akebono Performance Pads). They stop better than the OEM pads but obviously don't compare to track pads (which will dust and make noise).
LOL. XLR8 is a commercial, and their opinion is as biased as any opinion ever could be.....which is fine.
But the truth is I agree with them. Stoptech line of products are fantastic. I use them on my cars. All I'm doing is pointing out the options that they don't sell (and therefore do not recommend)..... And that is that Centric makes Stoptech (and a huge range of other pads), and you can buy the exact same top quality products for fractions of the price. The best way to do that is by simply ditching the slots. The slots are in no way worth hundreds of dollars (IMO).
oops. hadn't noticed XLR8 now carries the other Centric rotor options. Good for them. I wonder how their prices compare with the many other retailers (most of which have free shipping).
94eg is always in constant conflict with XLR8 in every...single...brake...thread. Lol
I think the conflict is that we're trying to say the Stoptech pads will make less dust and noise than other performance oriented pads and rotors.
What 94eg is saying is that they will produce more dust and noise than oem or ceramic components, which is also true.
They are a quality setup and while everyone has their biases we sell other options as well that also perform great. The Stoptech's are just a great value for the money so we usually recommend those.

Oh yeah, that's a good point I didn't think about. The dust issue could be relative. Stoptech pads make less dust than OEM brembo, but more than OEM 5AT.
Personally I just opt for stoptech pads all around so I get a nice even coat of dust on all 4 wheels! lol I would stick with OEM brembos (or the cheaper Centric OE version) if I could get the same dusty compound for the back.
BTW: There is another interesting rear pad option for the TL. The Nissin aftermarket pads use a compound with higher friction than the original Honda/Nissin rear pads. They are GG instead of FF friction. I always wanted to try those out to see how brake response is effected. To me the TL seems pretty underpowered in the rear. Though I'm only basing that assumption on the relatively slow rate of wear at the back.
Every other pad available for the TL that I've seen has an FF friction rating. Since Nissin designed most of the Honda braking systems, I would definitely trust they know what they're doing by offering stickier rear pads.
