Racing Brake only offer their 2 piece rotor design for the Brembo front on your car and those are very expensive (Heeltoe $688 with Hawk HPS pads for the Front only or $873.00 for front & Rear Rotors and pads)

Gentlemen;
Question. Is there any chance of doing any damage of any kind if you do not re-use the shims when installing aftermarket pads on a manual 3G TL? Or is the purpose of the shims only to help reduce/eliminate squealing?

The new pads should have shims built in - or re-use the old ones
They are there for a reason

So here's the break down,
142.46 2 OEM front Rotors
48.32 Front OEM PADS L+R
137.50 2 OEM rear rotors
48.32 OEM Rear pad set
376.60 Total (no shipping cost)
OR
225 Slotted front Rotora Disks L+R
165 Slotterd Rear Rotora Disks L+R
90 Hawks Cermaic front pads
60 hawks ceramic rears
110 shipping + exchange rate
715 total
I can go stock pads and rotors at cost for 376.60 CAD delivered to my door. Or from excelerate I can get the rotora's slotted setup for 715CAD. Hmm which should I pick? as much as I want the Rotora's i think the decision has been made.

It looks like you've only added 1 front rotor (not 2) and don't have the Front pad price.
Maybe I've selected the wrong model, but thought you said you had the 6MT (I assumed 2006). Also, the site above is USD, but still except for the Front the pricing is similar.

94eg! I have 6MT which means BREMBOS.
Bearcat94, those prices are correct for 2 rotors. I get them at dealer cost.
Whomever put up the link to ebay, I saw those but I'm a little nervous buying those seems too good to be true at that price point. Anyone here try them?

First response is back from an actual user of those rotors. Quoted Below:
"I used on my excursion for about 50K miles then I sold the truck. It had a total of 100K miles on it when I sold it. The first 50K miles I went thru 5 pairs of rotors "4 being under warranty"(ford). Every time I made a trip to Atlanta I came back with warped rotors. The drilled and slotted rotors performed beautifully. The only thing is you need to put proper pads on the truck. Warped rotors are the result of brake material being deposited onto the rotor in uneven levels. Get brake pads from tirerack.com "Hawk brake pads". I got the pads that go on police cars and ambulances, I belive they were called severe duty or something like that. They do not stop well cold but the warmer they get the better they perform. When I first put them on the truck I had to press the pedal pretty hard but not too bad. After a few miles I hit the brake pedal with the same force and felt like I was going to go thru the windshield. When they are warm they stop like a sports car. The investment in the pads and rotors should be your last. Also make sure you perform the proper brake in instructions. Hope this helps"
That;s a heavy truck, interesting.....to be continued.

I have an 04 6MT and just had to do my brakes. Acura wanted $171 for each rotor and $193 for pads. I was planning on having a friend do the job so I looked all over and ended up getting them through Excelerade, one of the vendors for acurazine. I got 2 front slotted rotors by Rotora for $225 and Rotora Pads for $90. No tax because they are in CT and I'm in MI and just $30 to ship it. He had the parts to me 2 days after I called him. Everything works and fits great. If you have the MT make sure you get the right parts. People at auto parts stores are idiots and will try and sell you the automatic trans parts. MT has brembo calipers and believe me, the other parts won't fit!
