Brake Pads for 2004 TL Dynamic Package
Hi :
I am having a hard time getting this nailed down.
I have purchased a used 2004 TL with the Dynamic Package, which included the Brembo brakes.
I am getting some brake squeal at very low speed stops.
Not sure if the squeal is coming from the front, or the rear.
Questions :
1) Is squeal "normal" with this setup, or, are these the wear indicators I am hearing ?
2) If I do need to replace the pads, and it is the front pads, do I require Honda PN 45022-SEP-A60 ?
3) What are the Honda PN's for the rear pads ?
Thanks in advance for your help
Mike

hey bud! Welcome to the forums, judging by the car it sounds like you are a canadian member. Sweet.
Edit: my brembos dont seem to squeel at all.
From what it seems, i assume that your wear indicators are kicking in. In time they would only get louder and more annoying until you lose your brakes.
Cant help you with the PN as Im on phone, just give this a bit of time and i am sure someone will come to help

If you're concerned about your brake pads, if you look close enough, there's a wear indicator on the brake pad that will show you immediately if you need new pads. Here's a pictures to give you a better idea of what it looks like.

more questions ...
Ok ... first of all, thanks to everyone for their response.
From what I have read so far, it appears that Brembo's squeal for some, and do not squeal for others.
Sounds like an inspection is the only way to be sure.
Question
1) Will I have to take the wheel off to perform this inspection ?
Thanks
Mike

Yeah ... I don't need new front pads !
Thanks for the directions, very helpful.
Looks like I have lots left on the front pads.
I wasn't able to see the wear indicators on the rear pads. What do they look like ?
thanks again
