Brake Info. ROTORS

I need to know if any of you know the width that a rotor needs to be.

What I mean is, I need to do a brake job. I am trying to see if I resurface them or buy new ones. I have a 2004 TL. 39k miles. First brake job. I would like to know so that I dont seem like a noob when I go somewhere and they try to take my money by telling me something else you know..

I know they measure them in MM's.. Whats the least that they should be to function properly without any issues of cracking or hazards. I am keeping the car for at least anohter 20k miles.

It's in this link somewhere, but it's good reading for someone who is going to change their brake pads, so take a look.
