I really want to paint my calipers red. But i dont want cops looking at me cause they are....

do you guys think it attracts too much attention?

heres my rims to look at to imagine if it would be easily visible.

Rodney has his painted red and I think they look cool! What the hell diff does it make if cops look at your calipers? If you are speeding, or doing something else, don't worry about it...they'll be focused on your tags! LOL!

or maybe WDP to match the car Due to the crappy screen, i cant tell which color the rims are, gunmetal or black, but it would look good if you had the capilers colormatched.

 

No offense csmeance, but that would be both ugly as hell and dirty in an instant! I thought he was just asking if it is ok to paint them red because of cop attention. Not like he was making his mind up which color. Because if he is doing that as well, then I say black with the white letters like the OEM ones.

 

I painted mine red, "not to criticize" but if your making truley contemplating on either painting or not-painting your brake calipers because your afraid of the police being more attracted to your automobile, there must be more to this story, you must have a record of being pulled over countless amount of times and the cops r out 2 get u, but other than that, i truley dont understand y you did all those other sick ass mods to your car, but then comming to painting brake calipers, which is probably the simplest mod, and being scared of gaining attraction by the cops.... im just saying this straight-up.

 

I have a Silver Subaru WRX right now and I painted my calipers red. Not because I wanted to rice my car out and fake others into thinking I had a BBK (big brake kit) but just to make the car look a little more catchy. Anyways, I used the Folia Tec Brake Caliper Laquer Set that comes with everything you need, besides the brushes. It has lasted me well over 3 years now and the red is not dull but not too bright to where it looks lame. Several places offer the kits imported from Germany or you should be able to find them on Ebay. You won't have any problems with peeling or things of that nature as it designed to handle heat. You can also just wash the calipers with regular wheel cleaner and it won't fade or dull.

 

no there is nothing else to the story. i do not have a record of being pulled over countless times nor are the cops out to get me. oh ya, thanks for the compliment.... i think... hahaha

the reason i ask is because i have tinted windows and i live in Irvine.

Anyone that has been to Irvine CA knows that the cops have nothing else better to do.

At least with the tinted windows, i have an option of rolling them down when i approach a cop next to me

the rims are a gunmetal color, not black.

black paint would look good but I just like how the red looks.

so what do you guys think? black or red?

 

If you want the capilers to stand out, go red. If you want to notice them less that the current silver, go black.
