drilled rotors will cause your pads to wear more quickly. for rotors i would go OEM. pads you can get OEM, Hawk HPS, Axis Ultimates, etc. are all good pads

Slotted is enough for street use. Drilled is just for aesthetics. Hell slotted might even be too much depending on the driver. But if its just your dd stock rotors can be turned at your local parts store for 10 bucks or so.

Are your stock rotors worn or warped?

Either way, don't get them turned, they will be more prone to warping once they're turned.

Are these Brembos or 5at brakes?

Keep in mind the 4 pot 12.6" Wilwoods are only $750, not that much more than a set of aftermaket stock size rotors and pads.

But to the original question of drilled, slotted, or both, how many times have you ever run into brake fade? I would guess the answer is never. Most people will never need a slotted rotor and drilled rotors are more prone to cracking and pretty much useless anyway.

IHC - How are those brakes? Will the 12.6 kit fit under stock wheels (07-08 double spokes)? How would they compare to the TLS Brembos? Is a rear upgrade worthwhile? How is brake balance compared to stock?

drilled rotors are a waste of time being our rotors are already vented.

and yes, they do crack easier.

had drilled rotors on my first prelude 5+ yrs ago. it looked nice and was for some reason really cheap. turns out it cracked easily and nobody wants to turn them...never again!

ROTORA makes a great OE replacement rotors built for performance and durability. They are much less prone to distortion than the OE rotors and combined with a good pad they significantly outperform the OE rotor/pad combo.

If you need them or even STOPTECH rotors check out our website in our signature.
