I begged TOV tonight in a post over there to PLEASE test a 5AT. Jeff replied that they'll get to it.

I know people think 6MTs are performance oriented, and therefore are more worthy of testing, but I wish they'd instrument a 5AT, since that's what most of us drive.

Bob, Jeff had said in the past that they were getting the 6spd first, not by their choice, but Acura, the 6spd was being passed around to the mags first, then the 5AT.

Tuan's wife has a 5AT, but it is his car, so no track time for that.

I know, I too would like some hard data on the 5AT, but I guess we have consumer reports 6.7 0-60 grandma style.

all the best!

Thumbs up

A 14.2 with HPTs and only 1500 or so miles on it!... cant wait to see what this car can do with a couple bolt ons. Safe to say high 13s.

I dunno, granny style is pretty much how I drive when I'm dragging myself home from work at 10 pm and merging onto 79. 6.7 works just fine for me.

But if I drove my cars grandma style, I'd be happy with a Kia. OK, maybe not.

Seriously, I didn't know that the plan was for them to get a 5AT later. My bad. I told Jeff that if he were in my area (they're in Atlanta), I'd let him borrow mine.
