Bought it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=130298816328

Has everything I want, particularly 6 speed, nav, and not black. Happier that it's already tinted and is original owner. 40k miles ain't bad for '05 either. Sent him 20 or so more questions, he went me another 20 pictures or so. Got a yellowbullet.com friend from that town, going to take a peak at it before it goes on the truck for shipping. Price is equivalent of KBB "Good" private seller value. Watched the bidding tick up 10k, 11k, 13k Thursday morning (and still had several days left) and couldn't stand watching it go, so I Bought It Now. Pretty excited!

It looks very clean, good job. It's cool that your car has 270 hp and mine only has 253

Great find, congrats. Another 6 speed owner, you will LOVE IT.

One part is incorrect, the engine puts out the same HP as the 06, they just rated it differently for 06. The 2005 with 270 HP is the same as the 2006 with 258 HP (NOT 253HP)

The 270 hp, later revised to 258 hp, based on the new SAE measurement standard for horsepower and 233 lb·ft torque.

The standard of how HP is calculated was revised and standardized in 06. Nothing changed from 05 -06 in the engine. EXACTLY the same! 04-05 270hp = 06-08 258hp...

Thanks everyone, wow 11 replies already! I'm stoked, anxious for it to get here so I car start driving. Looked at (test drove) 2 other 6 speed cars. LOVE driving them, just couldn't commit to those two particular items. One was Anthracite, really liked it, second was Abyss Blue...was nice, just didn't trip my trigger like the Anthracite.

Mods.. what would you all suggest first? I'm not a tail light, headlight, de-badge sort of person. Did exhaust and K&N on my wife's Tahoe recently, that's the sort of stuff I'm in to. Little more power or little more efficiency depending on how you treat it.

Road tripping to a wedding in two weeks. Can I expect the 29mpg as advertised or should I expect more like some of these guys post? Car is completely stock.

nice pick up.... and great color... AM FTW!

I spent the better part of 6 months looking for something like yours, until I found mine! decided to go with an 06 w/ no nav, but only 19k miles over an 05 with about 45k miles with the nav. A month later and $3,000 in mods, she's got the body kit and new shoes....

Congrats and happy modding!

BTW... i picked up my car completely stock in CHI when I bought her... the 6spd is soooo smooth, you wont realize youre driving as fast as you are (caught myself doing 95 out of chicago in sixth gear, around 2200rpm -- this is what happens when youre not used to having that sixth gear!)... anywho, when I got home, the trip computer showed an average speed of 79mph, and I got 31mpg. Slight tailwind, but other than that, I'd say you could probably expect the same thing!

As far as mods go, it depends on aestetics or performance. The bodykit, wheels and tint are the obvious way to go for looks.... exhausts, intake, etc. for performance.... either way, you'll have fun doing it!

NOS, if you're more of a performance mod person, consider a UR Pulley, ATLP exhaust, AEM cold air intake.

2200rpm in 6th = 65.25mph.

Just sayin.

My apologies for the typo. and thanks to 6speedtl-s and cochese for pointing it out. my fat fingers meant to type 3200, not 2200. I realize this makes me look like a complete ass and renders most of what I say as credit-less, but it is what it is.

Either way, I was used to driving a 95 honda accord 4 banger, and was used to hearing the engine scream at 90+ mph, all the while being upwards of 4k on the rpms in 5th gear. Now, with the extra gear, I dont hear the engine near as much as I used to, therefore do not realize I am going as fast as i really am.

anywho, maybe i should stop doing 90 around chicago and that would fix everything...

Sweet deal and you got Nav too...welcome to AZ!

As for mods, well let's just say the list is almost limitless assuming you have very deep pockets.

Good deal, hopefully ends up good since its a ebay ordeal.

Anyways the best performance mods for the price according to plenty of members opinions are Rear Sway Bar, UR Pulley, and Jpipe. The best exterior mods are cleared and/or blackened headlights from JNC, type-s tails, and most importantly the A SPEC body kit. The drop is also wonderful, I recommend the Tein SS Coils for the drop.

In my opinion spend your first $1000 on a UR Pulley and a A SPEC body kit and use the 3G Garage and find a DIY on how to do each one to save some money from going to a shop!

Once again, welcome to Acurazine! You're going to go broke in about a month after you start driving with mods!
