Boston Area Acura Dealers

I plan to shop this spring. Any experiences, good or bad, about the dealers in eastern Mass? I think Acura of Boston might be the biggest and therefore have the most cars in the pipeline and therefore might be willing to discount more than others. Any opinions?

I got mine from Roger at Clair Acura. He is the most normal car dealer I have ever seen. Check him out, see if it works out for you.

I got mine at acura boston and they were very good, was able to walk away within the price range I had set for myself and it never got ugly or uncomfortable.

Another thumbs up for acura of boston. just got my TL last week. Ask for Sam. Very good salesman and knew the ins and outs of the car very well. By far my best buying experience at any dealership.

Acura of Boston was great to work with.

I dealt with Sam and Damian. Both were very professional.

The finance office was a pleasure as well.

If you live closer to Clair, they are a straightforward place.

Connelly in Framingham has something of a monopoly in the Metro West area and made no effort to earn my business when I called.

If you live North of Boston, I found Sunnyside in New Hampshire to be quite reasonable when I was looking around. I got my winter wheels from them and the guys in parts do try hard for the customer.

Got mine at Clair Acura - didn't have a very good experience. But good service dept. - nice guys, loaner cars, etc. Shopped a lot at Herb Connely in Framingham, very nice and professional, but didn't try to negotiate a deal there, so can't comment on the purchase part.

Have been lurking here for a bit, learning about the newest TL, and thought I'd share my buying experience at Acura of Boston yesterday. And second the recommendation of Sam as a great guy to work with there.

This'll be the 4th car I've bought from Sam at Acura of Boston, based mostly on a painless sales process. Overall, trade-in included, without much ****ering you'll get a deal (new car price and trade value) that is in line with what you might see at Edmunds' TMV and trade appraisal (which is generally much higher than "blue book"). My transaction took about 15 minutes over a cup of coffee.

I've also had good luck with the service department, although that's mostly been limited to routine maintenance as little has gone wrong on my past cars. However, they've done well on annoying items like the sunroof rattle that initially was present in both my '00 and '03 TLs. And the current loaner fleet is RSXs and now a couple TSXs, which is nice.

Availability was also good -- my 5AT-NAVI is set for first week of February build. They appeared to have lots of non-Navi cars on the lot, so I suspect better deals would be possible on these in-stock cars.

In deciding, I test drove both the TSX and TL. The TSX was far more impressive than I was expecting, very solid and comfortable -- although the smaller engine (compared to the TL) reminds me a little of a turbocharged car, since there is a slight wait while the engine spools up into the power band. As for the TL, well it's really MUCH nicer than my '03 in almost every respect. Kind of the same leap as the RSX from the Integra, at least from a daily-driver perspective.

I apologize for the long-winded post, hope it's helpful.

Got mine from Boston Acura. I would go back. Wasn't impressed with Herb OConnelly in Framingham. Been talking to some folks at Clair recently. I think I would add them to my good list also.

If you are west of Boston, I had a very positive buying experience at Acura of Auburn. Salesman was Rick Voss. They treated me extremely well regarding the tire vibration problem (replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's).

I bought my 2000 TL form Clair Acura also from Roger. A very good experience. Their service Dept. was good to. Lately I've had my TL serviced at Acura of Auburn. I've talked to a few of the sales people there, they seem to actually know somethings about cars and Acuras unlike some salesmen.

did

try acura of auburn when i was shopping in nov/dec. Rick was a good friendly, no pressure kinda salesman. however, at that time, they were giving me the "no less than MSRP" bull.

I ended up in VT (i live in nh) with lewisautos.com My salesman, John Kimmel (whom i believe is a retired cop), was excellent to work with.

#1. he had no problems negotiating via email.
#2. took multiple pictures of the color combo i was looking at and emailed them.
#3. responded to every email within 2-3 hours, even in the late nights.

Back in Dec., I offered $31,100 and got it with protection package included. Bottom line is, you'll probably be better off buying in a dealership inboston but you shouldn't pay anything more than a couple hundred above invoice. If I were negotiating now, I would offering $30,500 for a car on their lot.

My family has been going to Acura of Boston for many years now...and have not had any problems. Starting back to in 1994, when my dad got the first car from there, a white Legend. Since then, I think we've bought 9 cars from them...Now my mom, my dad and myself have TL's and my sister has CL. If you end of going to Acura of Boston, try and talk to Warren Wang, he's a great salesman.

I shopped both Clair and Acura of Boston. Clair wouldn't budge on price. Acura of Boston started at MSRP-$1000 just because they wanted to take the deal from Clair. Didn't try Connelly and will like get my car serviced at Clair because it is closer.
