i put the headers and pulley at the same time so i dont know how much pulley made but cold air intake and atlp exhaust felt like made my car a bit quicker

Oh, I should have been more clear.

How much power do you think you're putting down?

Its a P2R TB spacer. They say a 3-4whp bump. I did that mod along with the intake and that gave the car way more grunt off the line and 4th got alittle better.

Thanks, I noted a bump with the spacer in the higher RPM ranges..

"Mid muffler delete"...did it affect the sound of the exhaust? I was considering a high flow Cat but like the sound the way it is with just the headers and in my experience modifying the exhaust leads to an unpleasant exhaust tone with little gain in performance.

LOL, people have pretty sensitive butt-dynos feeling a half horsepower increase, no increase or possibly a power decrease.

The mid muffler delete is just for sound. It drones alot (around 2k) but I think it sounds good for the most part. You cant get much power gains out of a TL-S exhaust, ATLP & CompTech say somthing like a 5-10hp gain but im not sure.

Most people make an exhaust setup using magnaflow mufflers.

Ten years or so ago I had a 99 Mustang GT and read in one of the Mustang scribes that Magnaflow mufflers dyoed in a 10HP gain on their unmodded example. I had them installed and they made zero difference in the quarter and 30-80mph. Ruined the tone of the exhaust also.

As far as the bump in the butt dyno with the pr2 spacer goes it could easily be all in my head. After every mod I do some 30-80 mph runs with my Gtech accelerometer. I haven't timed the spacer yet it's just too hot in the mornings right now in South Florida.

- Dual 3.5” polished 2-Piece tips shows the attention to detail.
- A matte finished face and hi-polished canister gives the entire exhaust a distinct look.
- TIG welded seams.
- Pre Data: Horsepower 185.3 Hp at 5750 rev/min. Torque 171.4 Tq at 4550 rev/min.
- Post Data: Horsepower 196.3 Hp at 5800 rev/min. Torque 181.6 Tq at 4600 rev/min.

Did you get your car fixed? I wanted to see what kind of #'s you put down.

Yes! now V8's and mustangs I know

I would never put magnaflow mufflers on a GT, the mustang has a mean sound when mod'd so you need an exhaust with some muscle like Dynomax, Flowmaster, FlowTech or the ford racing systems. That with an H-pipe or X-pipe =

I put a 3.5in DynoMax system on my Durango, it has a 5.2L V8. It sounds real olds school, even pops when you let off the gas at high rpm's.

I like the Gtech I just picked one up a month ago. Havent used it much cuz the holder sucks, so I cut up a real strong Gps holder and glued the Gtech holder to that after I spray it black i'll prob hard wire it into the car.

I maybe wrong but I doubt that any of the manufacturers test their products w/o the supporting mods.

He prob got the hit why the 335 looked like it was lagging a bit but reeling him in. People dunno how to race on the street sometimes. That little hit in the beginning can make a big difference between 2 cars that are equal. If you had more room the 335i would have been ahead. Also highway driving is easy...You put it in your gear and punch it so saying that they cannot drive thats just absurd. From a dig is understandable though.

^^You are wrong...most of the aftermarket manufacturers on this forum try to dyno a car with only that particular mod. At least that is what I have seen lately.

it wasnt from a dig. it was 30-70ish. im also on the non-believer bandwagon. i raced a 335i sedan and we were dead even all the way from 2nd to the top of 3rd with me gaining some on the 4 shift.

im a 6 speed with mods and i beat auto tl-s with mods like they are standing still.

I think so but im not sure 196hp/186tq is kinda low for having headers and prob an intake also. Was that a TL-P?

Ok the #'s make more sence now I would jump all over it but the 1k price tag is to much for me.

After I do my 100K service and get a pulley i'll do a few dyno runs.

1k for an exhaust is overkill. i got mine made for about 220 otd including mufflers and it sounds "awesome", "sick" and ive even had some people tell me it sounds like an old v6 ferrari (that one made me chuckle)

Yeah my shop said $300 otd for a custom setup using magnaflow mufflers. I like my sound with just the mid-muffler delete tho. It always turns heads when I let off the throttle at about 3k.

An old V6 Ferrari? Lol must sound nice

He has a nice setup but true duals are from the headers back. I cant do somthing like that in NorCal, i'll get pulled over in min. My little town was known for street racing a few years back so cops like to mess with imports.
