Bluetooth/handsfree
Does anyone know which phone works well with the 04/TL-Bluetooth? I''m currently shopping around until my car gets here in May. I'm looking to spend no more than $200.
Thanks

I have the Siemens S56 (less than $100) and it displays battery and signal strength. As an added bonus (all Bluetooth phones have this capability), I can upload address/phone book entries from MS Outlook to my phone using a USB Bluetooth connector. Makes life much easier!

Check out the networks that your provider supports. Almost all of the BT phones work with GSM (the standard in Europe). The Moto V600 is with AT&T (being bought by Cingular) which has their best coverage using TDMA. They are building a second network based on GSM, but the coverage is poorer.
I am using a Sony Ericsson T610, which works fine in the TL. I switched to T-Mobile to get this phone (from an AT&T TDMA phone). YMMV

The "best" phone is only relative. If you're talking about having the phone with the most features, the V600 is definitely NOT it. Someone forgot to mention the Sony Ericsson P800 and P900...those are fully featured phones. Same as the Imate/XDA II and so forth. Now if you're talking just phones itself without the PDA feature, the V600 has many but not the most features. The Nokia 6820 has just as many features as the V600 plus it has a flip out keypad.
I would not recommend anyone to a 2 year contract no matter how cheap the phone is unless you have been with that certain provider for so long and don't wish to change. Depending on who your provider is and when you are looking at purchase your phone... If youre provider is 850/1900mhz (Cingular), get the Sony Ericsson T616 or in May the T637 will be around that price. If your provider is 1900mhz, then get the Sony Ericsson T610 or in May the T630 will definitely drop in price. Look on eBay cause there are many reputable e-merchants out there. Best of luck and Welcome to the board.

i'm assuming you already have T-mobile, just pop in your SIM card and you're ready to go, no need to call T-mob on it.. the T630 wont be offered for Tmob till at least May.. you can get one off of Ebay now and it'll work with Tmob USA just fine

I do not have T-Mobile now. I have Verizon Wireless, but want to get rid of my landline and go cell-only, and T-Mobile's family plan is about $30 less a month. I get my TL tomorrow, so I am understandibly anxious to use my cell phone with it, but my current cell phones is not Bluetood-enabled.
Would you recommend that I wait until May to switch to T-Mobile when I can pick up the T630?
Thanks in advance.
