Blue LED's? WHY??

I dont have all my mods in my signature but i have put alot of time and about 4k into modding my car. it looks good and ill post pics another time. BUT WHY ARE PPL PUTTING BLUE LIGHTS IN THEIR CARS? WHY NOT HYPERWHITE? blue just seems so rice. I am sorry if I am insulting any of you... we all have the same car here and i see all of you as badass for sporting the tl. But isnt the TL just a little bit too luxury for blue lights, it seems like it a move for a civic. I mean- whats next? Blue underbody light kit and straight pipes? For all of you with blue lights, if your happy with it, cool, but dont you think hyperwhite looks better, they came in the new lexus afterall we need to keep our competition low. remember- yall are all badasses- no offense here. peace

its for a more ambient effect in the car since the car is laden with blue lighting already, such as the 2 leds by the maplights that shine on the shifter area.

Very good point, I failed to take that into consideration. Although, i would think: 1. That is entirely too much blue light / 2. Would only the fact that we have blue gauges and map lights justify the idea to flood the car with blue light. Personally, I would rather enjoy all of that weird lighting stuff drunk in a club.

Some cops are cool, others seem to piss me off. I could imagine that only teenagers would view blue lighting as cool, Although, I was a teen 3 years ago, I got my car at 19. Even back then, If i saw somebody with a TL and their car was flooded with blue ravers light I would point and laugh. (Not that I ever came across the situation.)

I think its over done if you put them on top, but if you put them on the doors, it looks pretty cool

Think that the blue are a great look for the doors but a bit much if they are in the domes. I like the stock dome bulbs replaced with white LEDs or 1W spot bulbs, give it more of a white look instead of that yellowish white.

I think it's safe to say that those of us with blue LEDs like the color blue (happens to be my favorite color), and like most people have already stated, it matches the rest of the interior's lighting i.e map lights, guage cluster, audio knobs etc. Plus why would you want your car's interior to look like everyone else's (Lexus, Infinity, etc.)? Also, the blue is what makes us stand out from other TL interiors. I don't know about you, but I don't like looking like everyone else, I like to be different.

why do people ask stupid and idiotic questions that have obvious answers?

people have blue lights because those that choose blue over white like blue more. DUH

it would be the same thing if i asked "why do people choose the NBP color? that color doesn't look right on the TL for me and it just makes the car look cheap."

people have different tastes and opinions. i would have figured someone that has been on this earth for 21 years would have figured that one out by now.

I did blue lights under the dash...for dome and map lights I did hyper whites...

I really like the mixture, especially with the blue dash conversion...anything that lights up on the dash (i.e. fog light indicator/cruise button thingy) they light up white when in use so its a really nice highlight....

I'm 17 and love my tl-s. I love the blue underdash because, if done right, it looks really nice...I kept mine soft so it justlights up the footwells but if over done could be tacky....

Blue because that's what I put in my Impala in 1960. I haven't put them behind the speaker grills though. Yet.
