I see pictures with the headlights kind of blacked out. Does anyone know how exactly to accomplish this?

 

Short version*:
-Pull your headlights out of the car
-Bake them till the glue holding the lens and the plastic housing is supple, then take them out.
-Pull apart lens.
-Take off the amber coverings.
-Paint appropriate sections with black paint.
-Put enough silicone around the lens and the plastic housing to make it stick again, bake to perfection.
-Install on car.

*This version is even harder to do than it is to write.
