I'm interested in finding the best price for several cases of Amsoil 2000 0w-30 shipped to TN, 37215. I was wondering if anyone on the board was an Amsoil dealer.

Hi, I'm a lifetime Amsoil dealer here in Michigan and have been using the 0W-30 since 1997 in all my vehices. Also plan on this oil going into the TL when it's time. It's an excellent product.

I would be more than happy to help anyone here on this great board to get good prices on Amsoil products but I'm not sure if this site likes advertising or people trolling here trying to sell products.
I do try and chip in with helpful infomation about synthetics as many folks are in the shallow end of the pool regarding these great lubricants.

I have been an Amsoil dealer since '91 and have used the 0W-30 in all my cars since this
oil came out in '97 or so. I pretty much use Amsoil in everything I own that
moves but have also used M1, Redline, Valvoline and others in the past.

Regarding prices, Amsoil basically had 2 price structures:
Retail and Dealer/preffered customer (wholesale) pricing.

Dealer/Preffered Customer pricing cost's $20/yr and is definetely
worth it if your going to purchase more than a couple of cases of oil per year.

There are other types of Amsoil accounts that offer lower prices but these are for
business and comercial accounts that are set up by Amsoil dealers and not generally
intended for individuals.

I like standard Amsoil, and think that both XL-7500 and Series 2000 are ripoffs, in different ways. The UOA's of S2K look no better than "regular" Amsoil. XL-7500 is just GIII hydrocracked basestocks, which one can get from Motorcraft for 1/4 the price. And FYI for you Amsoil dealers about to unload on me, I have recommended certain Amsoil products for many years so this not a vendetta or sour grapes or because I sell other products to my customers - I admire many Amsoil products, just not some of the new ones, which are clearly profit driven rather than the value driven proposition of their other products. I have studied tribology for over 25 years.

I agree about the 7500 series which is what you say it is, a GIII oil. While much better than "regular"
oil and testing close to PAO's in some catagories, it is not a synthetic as we old timers would describe.

Regarding the 2000 series, I believe they are better than the "regular" Amsoil offerings in that the additive package for these oils cost Amsoil about 3 times what they pay for in their regular blends.
Amsoil has used the best additives from Lubrizol for years in their oils but had to go to Germany for additives to get what they wanted for the series 2000 0W-30 oil. They simply could not find it in the USA and believe me, the company founder and owner is a "Buy American" patriot. I came on this information from the yearly Amsoil convention when the 0W-30 first came out in about '96-'97.
These additives are what IMHO make this oil a 35K oil rather than the usual 25K that is the norm for the regular Amsoil blends, which are excellent.
So knowing that oil does not wear out but additives do makes me choose the series 2000 0W-30 even though I'm certainly not using the milage capability of this oil.

Yes I'm an Amsoil dealer but not a "religious" nut about it. I use their products for their very high,
consistant quality. I have used and still do use some other brands like M1 or Redline.
We certainly have a great choice out there now (thanks USA).

I am still interested in your LE brand of oils and am looking into the products.
