Im not really sure what is the best brand however any top tier gas should be just fine. This link gives a list of the Top Tier gasoline stations. As long as you use 93 though you should be fine regardless of where you get it.
I personally always use either BP or Shell (mainly because thats what is convenient for me).

Why does this topic come up every two weeks. Put in 93/91 octane, brand does not make much of a difference. Gas is generic, with some proprietary additives injected when the tankers are loaded. A minimun amount of additives is required for all gasoline and the additive packages are not all that different. The only thing you are paying for is the advertising. Buy your gas at any clean high volume site and you're fine. There's not one brand that is significantly better than the other. I work for one of the major oil companies but I buy what's most convenient.

Agreed.

For whatever reason, I get less knock retard (pinging as shown by the scanner) with Chevron vs Shell of the same octane.

How do you check for that? Can you use any typical OBD-2 scan tool?
