Best custom taillights for NBP?
#7
Murdered out tails look great but its not really my thing I like some contrast. Im working on mine this weekend, they are mix of the Type-S tails with the clear centers maybe a bit smoked not sure yet.
Here are some examples
IMO best looking tail option out there!

Defiantly one of the best styles, IMO. I originally created that style for my car to be unique but it became so popular, so now I have a style no one has/ or has seen. banana:
That last picture is the same ones at MRLAL8, but at a different angel with sun pointing at it. The insides aren't paint so when a light shines on them they light up very well. The first style IMO is amazing on WDP.
Nice car, I have never seen a A-SPEC set of rims black but they look great. Car is real clean.
I disagree. Its too "EURO", illegal and "bright". That style got played out years ago with the altezzas on the civics after the fast and the furious was made and when the mercury mountaineer came stock with them. The only way I like all clear is when they look like this:
OP:
I personally think the best style for NBP would be either MRLAL8's or these:

Ya I thought they looked similar but that center section has to be tinted a bit right on MRLAL8's ? Its much darker looking

definitely go with Ack, he hooked me up with some awesome tails similar to mrlal08's, couldn't be happier with them. They really complement the NBP, especially if you have tints.

They are both tinted. I use one layer on the middle part to get that effect. Mine are dark but since its tint I can clearly seen the reflector at night with a light shining on them.

There is no 'best'. There's 3 different options:
(1) The one that's vanilla and is most widely accepted by your peers
(2) The one that tweaks (1) to some extent yet is still approved by your pees
(3) Paving your own path and doing what YOU want
It's YOUR car.

The tails look darker from farther away

Lighter up close

There are also certain clear styles that look real good
I think djmanus tails look real good...these are the only clear style i would opt for

nice pics of my car, i forgot you had those mrlal.
but on a side note, the clear tails i have are a bit different, i got the side walls of turn reflectors paints and the side walls of the diffusers tinted out. it takes away the "brightness" of the white and chrome parts of the tail lights. il take some good up close pics tomorrow and put em up to better explain it.

Not bashing on the vendors here, but be careful in some states for the all clear ones. It can get you pulled over. I have a friend here who installed all cleared tailights on his black BMW and the next day he had to swap them back. Check with laws before you go clear but some of the other ones posted up are looking real good! I for one wanted some modded tailights but am happy with my Type S on AM look.

If you have a red turn signal though there is actually a built in reflector on the outer side of it so you may get away with that.
99% of my styles that aren't "all clear" are tinted and not sprayed with paint. My tails are somewhat dark and during the day they don't look "murdered out" but different and at night the LED boards really light up the tails and when its parked and I am coming up to my car from behind the headlight reflect off of the reflectors and it actually lights up red and the tail lights looked untouched.
I personally would stay away from all clears if you are undecided just because of the legality of them and I have my other personal reasons. I think I have over 15 styles and that is the only one that I have made that is "illegal" (all clear). Then again you can do what bzyrice did and put a reflector sticker/tape/thing on his back bumper in the outer creases of the a-spec rear lip. Law states you need one, but it doesn't have to be in the tail light - look at the mercury mountaineer or the lexus truck (tails are all clear but in the bumper is a reflector).
