Been gone 4 years, lookin for another TL... what they worth?

My last login date shows 3/2/6 which was two days before I traded my RRP 05 in on a Orange 04 Cobra... it was mostly stock besides the limo, stereo, springs and rear sway bar. It was a GREAT car, and I wish I never sold it, even though my Cobra was a blast...

fast forward 4 years, Cobra is sold and now I have a 08 Vette. I love the car, but its a little rowdy for daily driving which is what I bought it for. I paid cash for it, so i can afford a decent car payment again, like a newish TL.

What Id like to know is what are they worth? I checked Auto trader and prices are all over the damn map... I found the PERFECT car for what I would want, but it might be a little more than I want to swing... its a 08 TLS in CA somewhere, the bad ass blue, slammed with teins, 19" Ron Jon wheels and a body kit... its one of the sweetest TLs Ive ever seen, and he's asking 32K with 16.5K miles. It looks almost new, that just might be about 3-5k more than I want to swing right now... Plus its not at a dealer, which means I pay full taxes, and I cant trade my Civic Hybrid daily (so Id have to sell it outright)...

What is a GOOD price for a TL and TLS with fair mileage... what should I look for wear wise? I bought my 05 new off the lot, so I don't know what wears out on them as mine only had 11K miles when I traded it for the Cobra.

Thanks AZ! Good to be back, and hope I can find me another car soon.

the new TL is HIDIOUS... I wouldnt drive one if it was free... now a V6 TSX IS on my maybe list, but I need to go drive one to make sure. I just remember loving my TL and figured a S would be everybit the same but more to love...

Here's a pic of my car and a video. Id post a race vid, but dont want to get banned. Not sure its ok here or not. This was the first night I had it, so easy on the slow gear shifts... plus it was without nitrous as I didnt know if the tune was safe, just giving my best friend's wife a ride from a friend's house...

nice vids man, and FYI if you are looking at a TYPE-S, for example...I kelly blue booked mine at 30,200 miles for the heck of it, and in excellent condition, private party sale was $29,750. I am very pleased with, holds value strong- especially since I only owe about 25 at this point...if you go to a dealer, i would expect to pay that, and they will push the CPO garbage...anyway man, GL

This is great info, what did your car cost new? bout 36-38? sticker on mine without nav was 33,475? I paid 31K... so paying 30+ for a used one makes my mind a little confused. I only paid 30K for my vette!

Perfect condition with some paint chips from rocks and curb rashes on 3 of the rims i dont think the lady who owned it cradled her baby too well so im glad i bought it (: This was purchased in northern california too btw, not sure if that has to do with anything

this helps a great deal, it looks like 26-28 is the range for a used S, which is about what I expected to pay... I guess now it will be up to if I can find one, if not it's back to looking at a G37/328/A4.

LOVE the C6, fricken sounds awesome! Has it been on the dyno before? What happened to the Cobra? I'd be interested to see a pic of that beast as well. Man that C6 makes me miss my Maggie GTO (RIP). Sorry for being off topic, I'd kill for a C6 Z06

I just got an '07 TL Type S for $24.400. It had a couple of scratches that the dealer paid for and needs wheels and tires, 44k miles, in UT. I noticed a few on our local advertising that were right around $25k for about the same mileage and year.
