Maybe I'm thinking of the 370Z, but one of those new cars trapped 107mph bone stock in either Car and Driver or Road and Track. It's hard to believe a NA V6 is in LS1 territory in the same weight car......at least in stock form.

 

?? I wasn't talking about the car!! I meant the speed rating of the tire! After a certain mph it becomes unstable.. So what car did you take up to 180mph???

 

=) in that case then the tires are 18" Dunlop ZR rated. Believe me, at that speed you don't notice about the unstable-ness anymore, your eyes are glue to your lane. I was scare to look at the speedometer too, just my computer recorded the speed for me. It's a street certified ride =)

I would have to say that Im curious too. You mentioned in an earlier post that you have chip/headers/exhaust which isnt really much in the way of mods so Im guessing you must have a pretty bad ass ride from the factory bordering on exotic. I doubt its a vette since 1994 and later cars can not be chipped (only reflashed) and its definately not an F-Body or Mustang. Gotta be an import.... maybe a turbo supra but even then its doubtful.

Why the big secret.... if your gonna brag about how good of a driver you are at 180+MPH then lets hear what your driving.

Hahaha I knew I'm gonna have few people curious about this and you ain't gonna smell any BS. Let me see, I have 3 rides (winter, all seasons and strickly summer). I never mention what car I took to that speed. Every reply, I however do mention my "ride" yes that's all the mods ever installed onto my 04 YZF-R1. BTW, it was on a long a$$ empty strip with a Ducatti 996 somewhere behind.

either way, you're an idiot.. either your bs'ing or you really wanted to die going 180+ on a bike.. especially that it wasn't on the track. One dip/pothole means you go flying off your bike @ 180... My friend never rode his bike again after seeing his buddy lose control at 150mph.. the way my friend described it, his friend hit some trees and pretty much exploded into a red burst. yikes!

 

Don't call people idiot cuz most of the people on here are idiots anyway. Everyone is stupid and I was one of them. You can either believe or not but originally was just joking around with you about that 335i guy. It was on a clean air strip and as I mentioned earlier, with such speed, it's quick and painless =) than the guy doing 90. Peace...!

I'm not saying 180mph is OK, I don't think you should pick somebody out of a crowd of speeders and call him an idiot.

I'm sure you've broken triple digit speeds in your IS350.

I mean hell, I consider myself pretty responsible behind the wheel .. but once in awhile I will go for a short high speed sprint.

I have but 180mph even in a bike is pretty reckless.. IF i street race i may go up to 100mph but seriously anything after 140 is a death wish
