The new camry V6 is capable of running right with a 3rd gen TL-S 5AT. They both run mid 14's stock. The fastest camry V6 stock I have seen is 14.3@97MPH on dragtimes. I believe the fastest TL-S 5AT stock is 14.5. Don't always believe 0-60 times. Those are usually magazine publications.

The newer camry's are pretty light and fast..I think they're faster than the base 2G/3G auto's..

That does suck!! It reminds me of my son's 6G Civic after he boosted the D16Y8; it was fast (easily in the mid13s) but VERY short lived and problematic. Anyhow, it led to him getting his Altima V6 with which he is more than pleased.

Keep it tuned and out of detonation and you will be surprised how long most engines will live under boost.

Remeber, I was breaking parts like pistons back when I was in the 12s and couldn't tune. Now that I'm pretty good at tuning, the car has been surprisingly reliable in the mid 10s on the same parts.

why even boost a d-series? One of my friends boosted his D-series and blew his motor. Before blowing his motor, we raced in mexico and he only took me by about 1/4 car, from a roll.

My son's D16 had about 175,000 miles on the clock when he went FI. Coupled with the facts that the D was not the best cared for and was not tuned immediately upon the turbo install made it a recipe for disaster. That said, it dyno'd at 192 whp with 5 psi and no tuning.

There's no reason a TL-S trapping 100mph should not be capable of 14.0 timeslips on street tires.

10CL's? Your full of shit.. I've beat almost all the 335's i've raced. Your in the bay? I live in concord so lets set up a race.. I doubt you ran a 12.3 with the p.o.s vinshu chip but if you did then you'll beat my 12.9 @ 109.1mph in my 06' is350.. What do you say?

I hear you on the 335 owners. I have them trying to race me in the TL all the time. At least pick on something in your own league. The best ever was when a guy and his girl in a 335 picked on me in the GN. They picked the fight, they were laughing at me and then they got to see what a true raping looks like when you put a deep 10 second car against a mid 13s car.

I could only imagine. Its funny people like twinturbo335 says he ran a 13.2 stock.. My friend ran his 335(I thought he was a good driver) and his best run was a 14.2!! My point being practice makes perfect and even though my friend had good runs with his previous RSX, he had to practice lauching his RWD, which he's still trying to master. Was was your 60' in your GN? Man I love that car, can't wait to see it on the new Fast & the furious movie!

True everyone has but 180? Do you know what would happen if you hit a dip/pothole or rock going at that speed? I street race only if the conditions are safe but even that anything can happen. So I go to the track which will really help. Just by talking to people out there you can pick up some good tips! So what kind of car did you take up to 180? What kind of tires did you have? I thought Z rated is up to 160mph??

WOw u guys act so jealous. Ive smoked so many 08 Camrys, by 2 cars lengths, and from a roll, i smoke them even more, camrys are way overrated. Btw, you know the is250 doesn't even have 250hp. And not many people shift as good as Type-s09 either, so most ppl with 6m/t and a intake wont beat IS350's.

True. My first pass ever at the strip was a 16.4. Broke into the 15s in 3 trys and by the end of the day (we rented the track, blew through an entire tank of gas) I was consistantly hitting 13.9-13.8 with no changes to the car. Went from a 2.9 60' to a 1.8.

For your other question, I usually hit 1.7s on DRs with a few 1.6s and low 1.5s to the occasional 1.4 on slicks. Diffference is I have to baby it until third gear on DRs while I launch it with the pedal to the floor for the entire run on slicks. With the way finances are going I doubt the car will ever see the track again.

Yes I know what happen when things happen at 180mph. Instantly, quick and no pain. The one that run 90 - 100mph has to surfer on the way to hospital then either (you know) or traumatize after. BTW, I never said that I have the Z either =)

You are out of your freaking mind...... How does a high 13 second car beat a low 13 second car. I have not seen any better than a 13.7 out of a G37 yet. The 335 is good for low to mid 13's.

Im not sure where you get your info from but you are always posting waaaay differnt results from what happens in the real world. I also find it funny how your very high 14-low 15 second car is always spanking the crap out of high 13-bottom 14 second cars??????

Actually he isn't far off. The G37 sedan is what he is talking about and not the overweight porker G37 coupe. The new G37 sedan is good for very low 13's. Now its equipped with a 7AT! Its as fast as the 335i.

Im aware that the 7AT car appears to have an advantage over the 6MT car and after scouring the web the fastest time I have been able to find for one is 13.5@105.3MPH from a Motor Trend test. Motor Trend tested the 6MT at 13.8@103MPH

Here is a post from myg37.com from a real world person, notice he posts that there was no wheelspin either so it has very little to do with driver in this case. The car also has 2100+ miles on it so although it may not be 100% broken in its not some tight car right off the lot either. Im curious myself to see the real world results when owners start to hit the tracks.... sometimes the magazine test cars just happen to be ringers and the results dont make their way into the real world.

Surprisingly it's not that far off. I don't pay much attention to the import scene but the 107mph trap speed caught my attention. It could've been a ringer, I haven't seen any other tests.

Damn, I was expecting much better times out of the G37. Sh!t those are the times I was running at the track with I/Jpipe. But..I have seen..yes, on YouTube..lol, the 6MT put down a 13.3 @105 with I/HFC. The difference between a 100mph car and 105mph car is a good amount..
