I just didn't believe a reg. TL with few bolt on able to kill an IS350. So what if it really did? Would you believe if I tell you my ride (not domestic) killed the same modded NSX (intake & exhaust) twice?

 

I don't drive BMW, but I do believe Mr.TwinTurbo with those times. Let's talk about 1/4 mile run, a B5 S4 with chipped (all stock beside chipped and only launch normal) did low 13s. Same S4 with hwy run, got ripped by a stock 335i (sling shot is what I compare to)....

Type s09 is a VERY talented driver and 3G TL6MT modded vs is350 is a driver's race... He didn't say kill he edged him out by almost a car length.. Now that he's SC'ed I don't think any stock is350 stands a chance.. on the other hand you do seem to to the 335i, maybe your another form of twin turbo, since he's too scared to post his timeslips

First off, I like the S4, had a friend that probably had the fastest S4 on the planet for a while. With that said...

You're talking an AWD low 13 second car that probably trapped 102-103mph to a RWD 13 second car on a highway pull.

Second, you never believe anyone when they say they're all stock. I pull that crap all the time with my friend's mid 11 second car and even get away with it with mine sometimes.

I smell arrogants in here.....! I didn't say that Honda made bad cars. I just couldn't believe a TL (not S) with couple of bolt on able to beat the IS350. How much of hp are you gonna get out of those on N/A engine? Unless you count every hp that those manufactures claim on those box.

The TL that beat the IS350 made 254 whp prior to being supercharged. This was an '05 TL 6MT with full bolt ons, no tune. This same car also ran a 13.9 with just an intake and spacer and I'm pretty sure those were also his only mods when he beat the IS.

I don't see what's so unbelievable about a car that ran a video verified high 13, beating a car that's generally an upper mid 13 second car. Yes, IS350's are generally quicker than TL's, but it's not like someone claiming they beat a Veyron in a "best of three" match.

Kind of ironic that you claim you smell "arrogants" here (I think the word you were looking for was arrogance), when your first few posts are nothing but insults and mockery toward the TL.

The fact is, you haven't been around on this forum for long enough to know what the TL is capable of. Sure compared to a stock 335i, IS350, or even the 2G G35 it's not as fast. You said your friend's IS350 pulled 254whp stock, and we told you stock TL-S 6MT can pull 253whp. We also told you about the 13.9s@99mph time done my types-09 with his 05 TL 6MT with intake. A IS350 typically does mid to high 13's. So if the driver in the IS350 sucks, it's not surprising that the TL can beat it.

True that I'm a new registered (for this post), but not so sure about not around this forum long enough. I did call the other member by name because he keep saying I'm a mag racer, when I keep addressing I saw the dyno on the IS myself. And by neutral I meant I'm not bias on any car comes as a stock form because I love cars, motorcycles even more. I've been around forums to forums just because here we have various type of cars (Japs, Euro) including an 04 6MT TL with intake and exhausts, and the most ultimate sleepers are the two IS300 (enough to kill stg3 S4). As you said, it maybe not faster than 335i, IS350 or the 2G G35 thats why I did not agree when that guy only has intake and exhaust.

If you're not so sure about members from other forum think about Acura and TOV then you should be around their forums (not mocking).

TwinTurbo335i is just a spoiled kid, pretty sure its his parents car and he takes it out once in a while, and calls it his own. He already made an idiot of himself in the Bay Area forum, and got banned for a month. I think someone also put him on blast, he's actually 17, not 20. Just another spoiled kid who doesn't realize he wouldn't be without his parents.

I think the "modded" (headers, exhaust, intake) TL 6MT can give IS350 good run from roll. I know how quick the TL 6MT is from the roll (I used to sprint 80~ 120+ a lot), but my IS350 is clearly faster. It is more vigorous and gets up there from a roll very quickly. Guys, it is indeed faster than what many of you think. This car is not only good at taking off from a dig.

Oh I think I remember that name... Can't track exactly who's who since there are more than one member name with EZ in it. You are only 20 years old (just turned 20). You act like you started overclocking when you were 12 years old and quit a few years ago .. This is not an offense I'm just cheering. I used to go to XS a lot several years ago, back in '99~ '03 maybe. I'm too old for overclocking.. Now I only go there if I have some software problems. It is still probably the best OC'ing site overall.

The dyno numbers they got for a 335i in 2006 averaged 285 rwh for 3 tests.

I knew they were pretty much underrated. Not to mention they have practically 90% of their torque available around 1500 rpm.

 

i have no clue how a toyota camry is beating a tl type s pretty bad a type s 6mt does 0 to 60 in 5.5 and the 5at is around 5.8ish the camry is 0 to 60 in 6.1 so either the tl couldnt drive for ne thing or maybe was an automatic tl s that couldnt drive or he wasnt trying cuz the camry isnt worth a race..lol ttyl be safe
