Bad Service
T0 all Acura owners that live in Southern California. If you love your car, do not service it at Thomas Acura in Covina. Let me tell you why. A couple of days before I took in my Acura TL 06 to get an oil change I called up Thomas Acura to make an appointment for an oil change service. I told them I don't need tire rotation because I just bought a new set of tires and wheels. On the day of my appointment, my car was one of the first cars there, yet I had to wait more than 2 hours. Then I looked at my work bill and saw $60. So I realized they must have charged me for tire rotation. So I went back to the service rep and they told me that I wanted it. I told them I told him on the phone that I didn't (same person). So he calls into the service dept. to see if they started the tire rotations. He was told they haven't started it. After 30 minutes passed, I finally got the car back. So when I started driving home, the steering wheels started to shake really bad. At first I thought it might be the balance was off, so I went to a Firestone to check it out. While I was there, I also had them to check out if my hubcentic rings were on too. They were missing. How did I know they rotated my tires? Before entering the dealership, my front right wheel had a nick on it. After coming out of the dealership, it was on the rear right wheel. To make an already long story short, I had to spend a lot of money and time to get the hubcentric rings and servicing to get my Acura back to its original shape before the oil change. Thomas Acura at first denied that they ever did the tire rotation. Then after threatening them lawsuit called me back again and told me that they did do the tire rotation. Ask yourselves u want to go through what I went through with your car and ask yourselves if u want to service your car at a dealer that lies to you.
thanks for the heads up. I got my TL from Sierra Acura in Alhambra and when I took my TL in for the deck lid spoiler install, the service manager there was really friendly towards me. Hopefully, when I take the car back for its first oil change, I'll get the same service.

When I took delivery of my '04 TL, that was the last time the dealer saw the car until I picked up a roofing nail in the tread, toward the side. The nail was angled about 45 degrees.
I didn't want someone unfamiliar with my wheels messing with it.
The service writers (2) said they could not fix the tire because is was in the sidewall. Not having much choice... I had to buy a new EL42
for $200 or else get a whole new set of tires.
Since I only have 5,000 miles on the car, I opted for the new tire. I never had a vibration before, but I do now. I detailed this problem by email last week. I have not been contacted by the dealer "customer service" person. Rick Case in Plantation, Florida.
I abhor taking my car to any garage. They get $95/hour to butcher your ride.
