This text was previously in an Announcement at the top of the Forum page, which has been deleted to make room for other good stuff, and to give the page a less cluttered look. I am posting it in this thread, which is closed and locked, so people who search will be able to find it, which can't be done with an announcement.



There seems to be some confusion about the purpose and intent of the Bad Post Report, which can be accessed by clicking on the little triangle with the red border and the vertical black line inside of it.

These are the instructions that appear when you click on that triangle:

BAD POST REPORTS INSTRUCTIONS: Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

There have been several instances of people using the Bad Post Report function for other than its intended purpose. It seems the members of this forum are the worst abusers of this. Here are some examples of reasons used for submitting a Bad Post Report:

Please delete when you have a sec. Just useless chatter.
REALLY lame ass response.
Shouldn't this stuff go in Ramblings.
Bullshit post.
Very aggressive poster.
what is this crap.
again forum rule.. tl vs XXXX.

If you feel you have to make a comment or suggestion which does not fit the criteria for a bad post report, you are encouraged to send a PM to any of the moderators of this forum, if the thread was posted in this forum, or the moderator of the forum where the thread has been posted. It would be appreciated if you would keep these to a minimum, limited to legitimate questions or comments.

You can find the moderators names at the bottom of the first page of threads, in the block titled: Moderators. Click on the name of one of the moderators, then click on the line that says: Send a Private Message To ...

We are not trying to discourage the reporting of bad posts. We would, however, like to insure that the medium is used for its intended purpose.
